Mine used to say 3.6 but now says 3.06 so it seems that is now the new display method - the screen has changed in layout, so it must have been given a refresh.
I was actually not sure that mine had the latest firmware, so I sent and email to Bkool.
But from what you say, it looks like 3.06 is the latest firmware.

Well done for sticking it out Whorty. I remember it as being a right 8ugger. You're now in the results:smile:
Cheers Bill.

I bought a new bike today (a Boardman Comp) as my old bike wasn't suitable for the turbo (that's what I told the better half anyway ;) ). Didn't make the ride any less brutal :becool:

I have an session in need of approval: "Cheddar Gorge" in "Top 100(ish) Climbs UK".
Suggestion to BKool: I wish they would just add the session with a flag indicating that something needs to be checked. Admin could then remove the flag.

<edit>
Same goes for "Boltby Bank"

I've requested to join CC Mountain Goats and Chain Gang. Bkool is Chris B, avatars the same

Hmm that was interesting/odd/weird. :hyper:

I have just done a few T100 climbs with the new (to my pre aug 14 classic) 2.04 firmware. Upto about 6% it tracks like the old 1.13 firmware.:okay: After that there seem to be some strangeness going on.

It appears to be reporting actual wheel speed up to about 10%. Then it gets strange. The steeper it got the faster it indicated. I was reported as doing 17mph up a 16% grade.:bicycle::dance:

I not complaining, much , but it does make me look better than I am . I'll take the advantage, until they fix it, but I thought I'd let you know in case you thought I was sandbagging.

I've got one (decathlon zaffiro) and have tried it. Does not make too much difference to me atm. At £15 it is worth a punt. YMMV
Do you mean this one?: https://www.decathlon.co.uk/zaffiro-pro-turbo-trainer-tyre-700-id_8300499.html

I have that tire in my in my sparepart pile, but haven't tried it on the BKool yet. I'm using the Schwalbe Insider (also 15£), which works really well in all terrains, and can be inflated to 130 psi. Works as well as a Conti GP4000 S race tire, but much cheaper and durable.

I also tried tires with build in puncture protection, that I sometime use on my commute bike, and they are a disaster on the BKool. Really steals a lot of power.

My theory is that if you use a normal tire (soft rubber), they should be as little grip/rain pattern as possible and they should be as thin as possible (which means it will tear faster).
Turbo tires usually are made of tougher/harder rubber, so they can be a little thicker like the Insider.
Just a theory though.

Yes thats the one. I got it after my Kenda Kwick Tendril 28C decided it didn't like 110 psi  and split along the tread pattern. It was ok but did not sit too well in the rim for me. I am now using a maxxis refuse 28 and it seems to be doing ok for me @120psi. I need a tyre with the ability to be pumped up or it will just wrap itself round the roller. 130 kg through a 1x1 inch contact patch needs some pressure to prevent too much deformity .

Did a quick test of the route and I confirm there are no hills to worry anyone. The slight inclines are very short and less than 4% at worst. Perfectly doable for all cyclechat members :bicycle::okay:
