That vuelta course was harder than Rodillo when I did it yesterday! Couldn't find that extra few % of suffering I had before. Think I limped across the line 17mins down on Bill :bravo:

Might squeeze the new ride in before club AGM tonight :banghead:

So here's how I was able to get ghosts for the mountain goats league.

1. Go to the league's page where stages are listed. Each active stage should have a "copy" link in its upper right corner. It shows up in blue in my browser. Click on the link to create a league copy of the stage. Do not click the larger blue emblem on the lower right corner. That link will create a league ride you can't modify. I have *no* idea why they're different, just that they are are.

2. Head to your scheduled sessions and find the ride. Note that you may have more than one in your scheduled sessions. You have to find the one you just created. In theory it'll be near the top of the list of your scheduled rides since the "copy" link will schedule one for the current date.

3. Add ghosts & bots and hit the "Edit" button. You can also remove the splits that resync your ride somehow ultimately resulting in a shorter ride than expected, then some kind of adjustment from bkool after the ride is complete.

4. Ride

Now what's damn strange is this works for the mountain goats league, but it doesn't seem to be working for the mountain moose league. I don't know if it's a function of the way the leagues/groups are set up or a function of the ride itself. The leagues share a couple rides, so I'll be able to test if it's the ride or the league tomorrow when City Creek opens up for the goats.
That's great JLaw. I must try that with the Chaingang to see if it works with it too. Then we could try to work out what setting it is that blocks this when crea ting a league. :bravo:

I have no idea why we can't set up ghosts per the method that I've been using for the Goats league. In the mean time I recommend challenging whomever most recently rode the stage you're interested in. I just rode Subida Soller desde el sur, which goats from the prior league might recall. It's fairly short (~3 miles) and not terribly steep, a good ride for pushing real hard. My ghost is waiting :-)

Sorry that Salamanaca had so many downhill sections. I didn't look at it closely enough when I added it. Though I guess it was a reasonable test for how fast you can recover if you use your big ring for the climbs.

Any difference between Mac, Windows and iPad for BKool? Trying to decide which to hook up to the trainer.
I haven't spotted any answers to this maybe someone will offer something. I myself have only just started and as I'm injured can't ride, so far just testing things have worked. I set up the iPad and first brief impressions are it seems ok the change in incline can be very sudden I found and if going from 0-6+% it can be like hitting a brick wall. But I would guess that is more about the smoothness of the data rather than the software itself. I am afraid I can't give a detailed appraisal yet, hopefully others will comment

The iPad app was initially crap, dropping out and not logging rides thus pushing most onto windows or mac. I think thats why youre not getting much info about the app.

As for the windows or mac, i use both and they are clones of each other, the whole platform has come on leaps and bounds from last year but as you will find, each person has found their own little tweaks with usb extensions, Ethernet etc.

After a year id suggest a computer option over the app every time

I intend to go down the computer route eventually but the iPad is convenient at the moment. I have he Bkool and Tacx apps which seem ok so far.

''On bkool I just feel completely empty and lightheaded sometimes but only mildly and then feel OK after being off the bike a handful of minutes.''

That sounds nasty Rick, I'd try and keep your watts below 200 for the foreseeable future if I were you ;)

I was exiled to my office to set up my trainer. After a few tests in front of the biggish tv in the front room, mirroring from iPad via Apple TV I thought I like this set up, my wife decided otherwise despite my "but it's quieter on the hard floor". I just checked it out in the office and for anybody contemplating using iPad, I have had no issues using the app or mirroring from the Apple TV despite my rural not the fastest broadband.
I haven't given it a long test due to the injury but no problems with the app over the 5km or so I have tested so far

Had another go at Col D'Aspin this morning, then I realised I set it up from another league other than the goats!

Thanks for the warning. I almost did that tonight but your post made me realise that the ride is in two different leagues. Not quite sure I can bring myself to do it again for the other league.
