Yeah I tried the weight thing too....one thing I forgot about the bkool is how noisy it is
I don't think the Bkool unit is noisy as such, take a look about on dcrainmaker's site for some comparison videos. It is more like the combination of near silent rooms and mechanical noise from the bike that we do not hear normally. At certain speeds I get a very deep vibration/noise that can be a bit off putting (I put it down to wheel balance ,where just like a car, at certain points it can be worse) but loud it is not, imo. I usually have a radio on when doing my sessions and not much louder than I would normally.

Is yours a pro or a classic?...I know the pro is not as loud as the classic

Well done on your win :okay:
And Yes, confusingly... minutes before the Bkool event I saw at least 2 other rides starting that were the same course as the Bkool ride..
Why do people do that?

Last night it occurred to me that perhaps people do it as a warm-up for the real thing because I saw one dummy ride with loads of people on it in the Live tab. Then when I did the bkool videos advanced search I joined the actual ride with about 6 minutes warmup left but I was the first, with Rick joining shortly afterwards. Then nearer the end of the warm-up there were loads joining so I thought they were probably jumping off the dummy ride onto the main one having had a decent warmup and a good chance to figure out their strategy.
I'm probably wrong with all that though.

Hmm I think mine has seen better days then....can't see the neighbours putting up with that
What is the trainer like when you are climbing. Admittedly I am not that quick going up a 6% slope @6mph (where mine max's out, resistance wise, due to my weight) but the thing is virtually silent. Up to about 15mph I could have a normal conversation without any issues at all. ATM after 15mph I tend to be breathing to hard for a good conversation but I would not call the trainer loud. It is only when I get above 25mph that I get what I would think of as most noise and that does not appear, to me, to come from the trainer.

Mine seems to vibrate and rumble might try foam or something to dampen it..it's already on a trainer matt

Work has stopped me getting on the trainer for a while but I chased a few of your ghosts up city creek canyon this afternoon. I was really close to Kipster for most of it and the you, cyclick62 and runar all smashed past me in the last mile! Well done to all-perhaps I need to join the mooses....

Bsim then seemed to die so had a go at the free trial of Zwift-I thought it was going to be boring but it was very social and the sprints etc kept it interesting. I do wish Bkool would up their game

Well done to the racers this evening!
Might have to give Zwift a whirl as it keeps getting mentioned. Is it a simple process to pair the Bkool with Zwift these days? Their website still says it isnt, but I thought it was now?

As long as your trainer has the FE-C Update v2.04 I think it is...my classic works on zwift

Id go so far as to say its easier than bkool... and you can use a power meter for readings and cadence.

I rode with Laurens ten Dam this morning..pretty cool
