Rick, yes a nightmare...dropping connection regularly. I also foolishly backed out when it 1st happened, not realising it auto-reconnects so missed 3 mins getting back in. Then time trialled it trying to catch! Then lost connection 7ish miles in and it didn't come back. I finished the ride if the results are any good for league etc??
Bit annoyed with the connection drops tbh. Have now got laptop near router to see if distance to man-cave was issue (though seems fine with zwift).
It really isn't anywhere near as stable as it could be but it's certainly a lot better than it used to be.

I rarely have connection issues since I started using the usb extension lead on the ant+ dongle and then using powerline network thingies to hardwire the pc to the router. Works near perfect now. Cant remember the last time I didn't get to finish a session.

Good ride all.
I have adjusted my weight having used some scales! I will sit out the rest of the goats league and start again with the next one. I can say the hills are now a we bit more painful.

Yea, took ages to log in then ages for it to find rides, when i was riding it was fine until about halfway it said Do you want to quit session with just a yes to click.
And the last few days it seems to loose the trainer and i have to re-pair it or un-plug then plug it back again.
Are you using a usb extension on the ant+ dongle? Helps with keeping a good connection with the pc.

Rick. Thanks for the helping hand. Felt a lot easier slipstreaming behind you and I think it ultimately helped us in our final positions. Could have gone on much longer if it hadn't been for the big hill. I was actually feeling very weak at that point and was hoping you'd be willing to work together for a bit :hugs:.

Later on my bkool superpowers that I think were bestowed upon me sometime during the bkool summer cup seemed to take over so I was able to get the better of Ryan's genuine awesome w/kg. No way would that have worked in the real world.

Great race though. Lots of battles going on and excellent number of entries. Chaingang is getting better every week

Well I've eventually finished tonight's event. Who was it that said there were two mounds in the middle to test us Moose's. The rises near the start and finish are what I would call mounds. I was waiting for the broom waggon on those two chunks in the middle but it never came, so I had to plough on. It's the first time I've spent more than an hour on the trainer in one go, and boy am I feeling it. In a sad sort of way I quite enjoyed it - the only way is up from here, no matter how slowly I manage it.
Am I right in thinking, those who don't comp!ete the stage will get 5% added to my time in the League standings - if so, surely there's an incentive there to get on their 'bikes'.
Cheers Dave

I've been beating myself up thinking I'm losing my fitness as I appear to be struggling, but when I look at my stats I'm confident that they are about right for my ability (size) etc... and very confident that the latest trainers and firmware makes the trainer far more realistic albeit giving me lower power but the speeds are very accurate when I compare with my garmin sensor. Finally the guys I would regulary dice with have upped their game, so hats off team cyclechat...

Looking forward to next weeks race, those hills really hurt me tonight

Tactically, the start of the ride tonight was so wrong for me. I was shot after the first 2 mins...... but it was fun (kind of) riding like I'd stole the bike from the off :heat: For a very brief moment I was in front of @Ryan lawman, @Monte and @kipster ..... didn't last long, but for 10 seconds I felt like a real cyclist

I paid for it though for the rest of the race

Sorry, just got back from dinner at the local ecological village (http://www.dyssekilde.dk/uk) and barely made the chain gang start. Had to bail out and obey the call of nature.
However, I was in there enough to confirm that I still can't compete on flat sections after the Bkool calibration (which corresponds to my initial sensation). I was standing up most of the flat sections, and still struggled to reach 280 watt. Also found out that I have a problem on descents.
If I manage to maintain 300 watt on a flat section for half an hour with the current setup, I know Im ready for the world champion time trial qualification.

Great win Guy. Impressive power curve, especially compared to my erratic one. You should drop in for a chain gang race more often.

How do I check other peoples workouts vs mine on a course we have all finished ? Also, in my brief time in race, I noticed on the climbs I was doing ok but going downhill I was spinning 110rpm in biggest gear and getting retaken by Monte! Are you guys spinning quicker or does my turbo (Vortex Smart) need tweaking?
Thanks
