its one of those things..no apology necessary! ....but was the modus operandi right? be on the sim @1900 then press go? does it hold all riders to start at the same time or does each rider begin the ride when pressing go and it relies on the timing of the button press?
Where you join a live ride it's entirely up to the person who created the session. If I stop pedalling at any point during the warm up the countdown timer would start. Only way to not catch people out is to let it run for the full 10 minutes. Usually works well so I've now learnt after tonight's mishap to do a test of the session well in advance of 7!

Compact chainset so that's a 34 isn't it and a 26 or27 at the rear.

really..wow. I still have a software problem or trainer problem then. I didnt come off the big ring...50 x 13 on the flat holding about 27 mph then 50 x 16 on the last hill at 22mph.....clearly not right.
compact ..yep usually 34/50 or semi compact 36/52 or the racer old school 39/53

It was interesting seeing Bill and Rick showing between 40-60 cadence on the steep section of climb when runar was at around 100 all pushing well over 300watts

Interesting to know Smithy. There were times I was changing up a few gears and out of the saddle to try and push the higher watts so that could have been when you were watching my lower cadence. I think usually I'd be at more like 80-100 up a steep hill. Alternatively as some here have noticed the readout often reads near half cadence on the steep hills. Rick and myself both have the pro's which are not great at accurate cadence readout.

Hi can anyone sort my Moose ride for Trbovlje-cece-podmeja slo out.

I did a ride on the 2 / 12 / 15 followed by a 2 min qual ride.

Thanks in advance.

It seems like I missed a great race to watch. Work was so busy I never got a chance to even look in at all. But after reading Bobinski's post about interviewing candidates all I could think of is him with one eye on the race while asking probing questions..."What would you say is your greatest weakness? Chew that stem" That interviewee would be googling it as soon as he was out of the room.

I lost your draft for a while and worked hard to catch up. In fear of overtaking you, I slowed just a bit to early and saw you disappear again. I had to conserve some energy to the hill but it was disappointing to see you disappear.
Great race, well done all! Really fun to watch.
Would have been there, but unfortunately I'm down with a virus and don't even know if I'll do the rerun.

When it comes to do downhill: last time I tried to do sprint intervals to keep up, instead of trying to maintain high power, and that seemed to work for me.

I did wonder where the ghosts were, but I'm not sure they would have helped or hindered. Possibly depends on what speed they were doing on the flat and also I'm not actually sure that drafting ghosts works. On one section back there as soon as you passed me my power output at exactly the same speed dropped by 40-50 watts. I don't think it's like that with the ghosts.

I think you are right about that Bill.
Sounds like a really great race. I am really jealous Looking at the times and stats that's some serious power you guys were putting out. Here's hoping for a repeat on Saturday provided Ricks knees have recovered:smile:

Strange enough the knees are feeling better today than yesterday, so maybe the ride was just what i needed - though I did put an ice wrap on them last night for a while. Don't know if that helps much but it's supposed to aid recovery.

I've done that course twice this week so although I should be around to start the race I might sit it out. Need to get a goat stage done too.

I am still on the upward trend as far as improvement is concerned. But due to my weight I am on max resistance on anything above about 6%. Because of this I am nearly always on 34/32 as it goes above 5%. As much as I want to spin this I just can't, currently, generate the power needed. :bicycle::surrender:
