Forgot to add - had a rather bizarre occurance during the race. on the downhill section my son came in saying someone was at the door. Told him to see who it was, but then two santas came into the study and gave me some sweets and a gift! :santa: With that they turned a left again. They werent invited in so all a bit strange as the study is down the hall a bit past where the car keys sit and I still have no idea who they were! Being the dedicated Bkooler I am though I finished the race regardless. ^_^

Sorry, I was not intimating any unfairness.
Sorry from me too. I didn't read it like that. If anything, we Bkool Pro's probably have the advantage with our slingshots (and my superpower on really steep sections).

Bill kepy his 'Kool' like the 'Pro' that he is and kept on the pressure to the line.

LOL Far too kind AAAC:laugh::smile:
There have been times when someone's been catching me at the speed Rick was and I've been in a blind panic!! The only thing that prevented that happening tonight was being somehow sure that Rick must be more tired than me having caught up from some way back.

I did think we were all underperforming tonight though and I didn't seem to be able to make my usual power and it seemed that everyone else had the same problem. Too much Christmas food perhaps?

Indeed, it was hard (Isnt it always! ^_^)

Couldn't believe how fast you passed me near the end - that just broke me, but then you seemed to pull up and gave me hope again. :boxing: I managed to grind out the last minute (aided by blue speed numbers on the final steep part :shy:)

I was in the big ring and ballsed up my gear change but to be honest I was spent from chasing you down. Sending in those 2 :santa::santa: clearly hadn't worked. If only it had been snowing...:snowball:

For sure, but you guys are in the top 50 of over 600 users who have had a go at the route so, not too shabby:bravo:
Mind you I would be surprised if our times improved on the re run at the weekend.

Got to agree with you there Bob. Not much chance of our times improving considering the food and alcohol abuse our bodies will no doubt undergo over the next day or two. The other issue is that we have one more chaingang race and two more (well I still have 2) Mountain Goat rides. Time is running out if a decent rest is to be had between each so probably going to have to tackle Prueba Sacra-Cu on Sunday or Monday.

You know me too well Bill. Not a chance was I going to pass you on a hill like that. :notworthy:

I would. I was knackered after that - in spite of Santa's visit.

We are a few with a vortex smart, get ready to be severely punished on downhills (they will just feel like flats and your maximum speed will be on the 40s (KMH) whereas most Bkool riders will descend on the 60-70s ). If you are a heavy rider you might get some relative benefit on steep climbs, >7%
Thanks for the feedback Baldo Mero. Good to hear others are using the Vortex.

Where they female? as that may not be unusual. It is probably more a stress induced unreality (fantasy)
Happy Christmas

Fear not Sir! I bet if we all met in a bar and one or two of us comparative 'fat gits' would be comparative 'fit gits'
Keep BKooling - I think that is why it was invented but it may be loosing it's way!

Well, the guys just west of the whiskey belt (http://www.denmark.net/blog/beach-adventure-denmark’s-whiskey-belt-479288.html) pushed things a bit. Unfortunately for me, Stefan apparently didn't abuse his body with the same amount of rich food and alcohol as me:popcorn:
.

I collect (and sometime drink) whiskey's so was quite excited by the mention of whiskey and Denmark together. My excitement was short lived on reading the article, but Google sorted it and this is now on my list of whiskeys to buy http://www.stauningwhisky.dk
