I could fit it in an empty bottle in the #2 bottle cage.
What I great idea. I never thought of the 2nd bottle being a carrier for stuff. Thanks

rode it again tonight in bursts allowing the wattage to drop under 100 on the slopes and then sprinting.
And my advice is...don't go to Halfords!Whorty, chances are:
1. The inner tube was twisted
2. The inner tube was trapped (pinched) under the tyre bead or by the tyre levers, if he used one to fit the tyre.
You said he had trouble fitting the inner tube as it was 'wider' than the new tyre.
The inner tube you fit should comply with the tyre dimensions all be it an inner tube will be compatible with a range of tyre sizes i.e. 700cx23x28 where 700 is the rim diameter and the tyre is between 23 and 28mm inclusive in diameter.
You should not use an inner tube on a tyre that is not inside of the inner tube size or pressure specifications.
I believe that the halfords Turbo Tyre (which is a quick tyre i.e. low rolling resistance and can be pumped 140 PSI, I had one until recently) is 23mm so if your inner tube was not as small as this they should have replaced it, probably at cost.
My advice is change your tyres yourself as it needs TLC.
The other issue that could be a factor is your rim tape but that is another story.
If you want any help or advice there will be loads of us on cycle that have got years of experience, individualy, on cycle maintenance. I for one was fixing bikes for the neighbourhood kids when I was 11 (1971) so I have notched up some experience since then.
PS: Tour Down Under starts in a week, can't wait for the start of the Pro season but how will 7 PM Chaingang starts fit in with my highlights viewing!!!
My league ride has miraculously appeared today!!
At least i won't have to do a solo re-run today
If your time was faster then it will have been flaged from bkool And will have to be aproved by Admin .I logged on today to proudly boast to the wife just how well I'm done in the league only to find that i'd dropped 5 places.
I was never expected a top 10 finish, so I'm still very happy with my position.
Rode it again today to knock a few more seconds off and get my position back.
I don't think I was much, if any quicker, and the ride doesn't seem to be showing anyway.
Do the leagues have to be updated manually?
Hi Guys, I have a friend who use's a Tacx Buishido on the Bkool Site, he said downhills are treated as flats, not descents.
Anybody have any ideas please.
Thanks Gary
When the digets turn blue thats the Speed that bkool think you would be free wheeling at taken in to account from your weight . When mine turn blue i just pedal slow And take a rest . But do not stop Or u will be asked if u want to quit the Session . It is a waste of energy trying to go faster but it is possible to go Faster ..Pedal harder
For what it's worth my bkool classic doesn't get any easier on the downs compared to the flats. The only difference is downhill on the screen my speed turns blue and it seems to increase beyond that of the actual speed of the rear wheel. On really steep downhills it doesn't seem to matter how hard I pedal, I don't seem to go any quicker.
It can also backfire.I had a go myself but was not lettinng my speed drop enough and to be honest the on and off power method absolutley blew me out in a very short time so some respect is probably a very good session workout so bravo to anyone who rides this way.
Went to my local bike shop and they were only interested in trying to sell me a £1k + bikeAnd my advice is...don't go to Halfords!![]()
Went to my local bike shop and they were only interested in trying to sell me a £1k + bikeI read that the Boardman bikes were quite nice and Halfords had a sale, so got one there. Halfords offered 2 years maintenance for free ..... now i realise there is no such thing as 'free'
went back today and they fitted a new tube (smaller size, same as tyre) for free, so I'll see how that goes![]()
