Wow, glitch city!

CXRAndy couldn't get going, Bridgy Started on the Podium, Bert stuttered the entire way, Bill had an invisible drafter for most of the middle of the session, and quite a few went a bit slow-mo as they approached the finish!

@bridgy you always seem to disappear as soon as you start and at the end show a classified time of 36:48?

@bert1971 what kind of an Internet connection do you have, you always appear staccato from my view

@BILL S did you see anyone on your view, if you check out the video (when it is uploaded) from around 14:44 on the first section and 2:10 on the second, it shows you being drafted but no one is visible. I wonder if this was Bridgy showing up from the spirit world?

Anyway, well done everyone, shame it was a little sparse tonight. Hope you all had a good ride.

Geoff

I was there Geoff and all was normal from my perspective! Bkool has my time as 28.05 which is correct I think. Bill and I were drafting for a bit - I'd be amazed if he didn't know I was there - in fact that would be really weird!

Funnily enough Monte says he couldn't see me while spectating either but Kipster and Adam certainly could as they sent me messages

I love this picture, @bridgy standing on the podium 1:18 seconds after he started, looking around him and thinking "what the hell happened, did I win?"...

A podium?? I didn't even know there was a podium - no wonder I look confused!

I didn't seem to have any problems this end, all I noticed was @Soarerv8 and @JLaw jumping positions together with about 20 seconds between them both
@bridgy 's name went passed me but no bridgy!!

Well done Bert just couldn't stay with you or @JLaw did however knock a massive 2.5 seconds off my last time. Work that one out Geoff!
I didn't think I had a chance of catching you and Bert through -- aching legs from the Sun & Mon rides and y'all seemed to be working together at the start of the ride... Guessing you fell off Bert's pace & took your foot off the gas which allowed me to catch up?

You were more than a bit pesky back there... Tried to drop you a few times, but couldn't get far enough away to catch Bert & a bit of a rest behind him.

Not sure what happened with Bridgy, he didn't show up on the list of riders behind me, then blew by at an insane pace and didn't show up in the list of riders in front either. Strange. Geoff's doing an amazing job at getting everyone to the finish line close to each other -- quite the clump of riders going up that hill.

In all a good ride. Dropped another ~20 seconds. Cadence up, heart rate down and didn't fade as badly in the last mile. All good in my book. Looking forward to one more run at it.

Thanks for the encouragement Kipster.

Thanks for the "encouragment" Adam! And no, even the threat of the caravan wasn't enough for me to stay with Bill at the end there!

Geoff, Bridgy was with me for a good bit of the race. He was showing completely normally as far as I could see and we were drafting each other so he would have been the invisible rider you saw.

I had the opposite ghostly rider went past with no name, but at great speed, must have been Bridgy.

 I got the same threat and I must admit it did spur me on a bit.

Well I was beset with technical problems tonight access point dropping Internet, router reboot laptop reboot and then couldn't pair with borrowed Bkool pro trainer. Two false starts and third time it all worked. Was just about last when I set off from the start I must admit it's a different experience on the bkool pro. Speed obviously builds much faster and higher . It is easier to accelerate due to smaller, lighter flywheel. It is no easier in attaining power, but speed is greater for the same effort hence my significantly reduced session time. I have only got this trainer for a few days so I will make the best of it

Well that's a relief - would have been quite ironic if one of the few times I got a nice stint of drafting going it was with someone who didn't even know I was there!

CXRAndy was much lower down on the road, due to problems starting, and John18 pipped JLaw on the road, but when corrected for exact Start Time the positions were reversed.

Congratulations to Bill for going even faster, and good improvements for almost everyone, well done to all.

Did anyone get a fitness upgrade this time?

I think I could see everyone that was taking part, and yes sorry about the caravan threats, couldn't help myself. You were doing well there Bridgy, until Bill just switched it up a notch.
Soarer, you were going strong too, until I can only assume the tank started to run dry?
But it never ceases to amaze me how compelling these rides are to spectate.
Good effort guys, I actually didn't mind not participating tonight, nice to be in the stands for once. Just hope I don't catch Camlo's lurgy, it has really knocked her off her feet.
Roll on thursday! Looking forward to that one.
