Interesting Watts/Kg on the results.

No-one made the target 5.5 Watts/Kg, so I guess everyone was down on power with the reduced weight.

The watts per kg show a decline as the times got slower, all apart from @JLaw where I presume there is a KICKR effect.

Well that has to have been the funniest chase start ever .

I enjoyed that, but had absolutely no hint of blue numbers what so ever :cursing:. I think I broke my legs yesterday on the Biggin Hill loop I did :B). Tried to spin @80-85 rpm and kept burning out :surrender:.

When the weight is very low I see lower power. Bkool reads 175-185 and vectors read 200-210. I gain a bit on the uphill but lose it on the downhill .

I'd have a go at that again though. I will leave a day before clear for recovery though..

Thanks Geoff :thumbsup::notworthy:
Yeah I would agree that the power figures are lower with the lower weight

@JLaw it is very interesting that your KICKR result is the only one that is almost exactly the target Watts/Kg

And thanks for leading them out, I was starting to sweat when I didn't see you on the start line, thought I had befuddled you with the start time!

I must admit I was a bit confused by the start - completely missed the marker where we could go for it! I don't know if it helped @JLaw on the kickr, but I was wrong about it being like a normal start for the rest of us! When I thought I could push hard I had no slingshot at all like we do from a standstill

It was hilarious! I couldn't get going I was laughing so much. All those legs spinning so fast while their bikes hardly moved! And mine of course^_^
Nice little tussle with Bertie
I rode in manual so I think that means Ant+ fec. No blue numbers.

Here's the recording...

It looks like slow motion, I may try and produce a version speeded, or just watch it in VLC at 2x or 3x

Well done everyone who took part, it looked like quite a slog, having ridden that hill many times in Real Life, I wouldn't want to do it three times in a row at any weight!

The session is open for the rest of the week if anyone else wants a go, or anyone wants a second attempt.

Please just stay behind @JLaw up to 0.1 miles (0.16 km)

If you post here I will approve your attempts, as all sessions will need approval.

After a morning of meetings, I'm easy to befuddle.

I wonder if the differences in power are attributable to the kickr providing real power vs the bkool trainers doing their estimated power.

It helped. I was with the group after .1 miles and probably would have stayed with the group had my chain not dropped.
