Sorry about the start guys - had a major glitch which left me on the start line even though I was fully stationary way before the countdown finished - I was stuck there with my watts and speed whizzing along despite no pedalling! So I then rushed off to catch you all up before the 0.15 mile marker and then it happened again - but this time I was stuck at 510 watts, not pedalling at all, for AGES! Another time that would have been good but this time it was rather embarrasing! So when things eventually settled down I let everyone pass before setting off properly

I could almost hear you all cursing me as I whizzed past you before the marker, but I was an out of control runaway train, honest!

Finished my dinner at 7:55 and concur that slogging up a hill whilst trying to keeping it inside me was not a pleasurable experience

When I ask for advice in the future would you lot mind getting together to discuss my question in private and then come to me with one definitive answer.

If it helps I could send you a plaster cast of my undercarriage to see what will fit it the best.

Thanks

I was there at 7 with Berty.
We kept below 9 kph until the start banner and that 240 meters took for ever.
I thought I wasn't going to shake you off at the start there Berty but obviously your early effort started you stomach off.
i'm afraid I left my weight at 76 kg Geoff (is that going to mess up your calculations) as I saw no point shifting it for a single kilo so instead i took my top off to even things up.

That was tough, but it was obvious to me that having done the DD a couple of days ago just made us go faster. Geoff had the handicaps worked out well so without the DD we would have all come in around the same.
So it's true what they say: What doesn't kill you makes you faster!
That was the first time the warm up hurt considerably more than the race itself!

That explains a lot. That is probably what you did on the Double Devil ride also. Bill and Add never had a chance with you cheating like that.
