doh! got the time wrong:blush:
rather than hang around in the airless loft i had a go, albeit without the slow start.
Took it too easy on the first incline leaving too much to do after the flat so slower but cest la vie.

LIVING THE DREAM
Warm up underway (not that it isn't already warm enough)

Don't forget to change your weights before joining the session...

I was going to give this a go a 18:30/19:00 GMT after I had had another bash at the 2nd bonus sprint.
Got the bonus sprint done, manage to pip Bill's ghost by 10 seconds and my own ghost was only 12 seconds behind Bill, so it was a close run race.
I didn't actually catch you Bill until the very end as you held your quicker start advantage nearly all the way.

Anyway that out of the way I was going to run a rolling rest on a downhill session and then give the handicap session a go but then my rear gear cable snapped right inside the hood leaving about an inch of frayed cable and the barrel stuck as the mechanism was not rotating fully back to the fitting hole.
I ended up taking the whole thing off of the handle bars to get the broken end out and by the time I had refitted it dinner was almost ready.

@CXRAndy no glitches that time, leading the table by 1.3 seconds! :bravo:

Well done everyone, especially @bobinski doing it twice on such a warm evening! :heat:

@BILL S, I thought you and @TurboTommy were lining up for a battle at the end, but you just Monstered it...

It was hot tonight, wheezing from a bit of hayfever:wacko:

Thanks Bob, everyone went off quite quick except for you and me. I didn't feel as sharp as last Thursday.

Yeah, well done Andy. I had no chance of staying with you so I took my frustrations out on poor Tommy. Sorry Tommy for trying to goad you into a totally unfair race.

Interesting how much more power Andy managed to produce at the lower weight. I switched the recording back and forth at one point to try and contrast the power figures.

Sorry I didn't join you in the handicap race - my evening's been stressful and all over the place so I gave up hope of being ready in time for the live race so thought I'd do my own thing (another attempt at stage 3) - as it happens I pretty much started at 8 anyway so could have done it but I was in a world of my own!

Geoff, it is interesting how much closer Bill was to me on the second steeper section. On my graphics I started that climb with a minutes lead over him.

You mean you may have had more in the tank?!?

I felt good on my first run, realised where I went wrong and thought I could get under 21m if I gave it a go. Kept warm on another hill ride but by the time I dropped in for the second run I could feel the lack of power in the legs. Rather than push on and wanting to put in a long session tomorrow I decided to take it easy and ride to HR. It's not easy watching everyone pull away! But there was nothing I could do about it:rolleyes:^_^

Wish bkool had pip and you could have a little box showing your chosen rider battling out!

Haha no worries

I wasn't sure whether you wanted a sprint or were just slowing down to protect your handicap. Either way I was buried bud. I wish I could of chased you up the road when you went. It put a big smile on my face at least, watching you belt off like that!

Bob. I was able to make my power, it was when I finished my chest was tight. I don't think I have much more(but I didn't know until last month I could do these numbers) Hay fever tab sorted it.
