48 mins !!!! That record will never be beaten :okay: Team White win a stage :wahhey:
3ac should be able to, however it looks like he backed out about 3/4 of the way through. If he goes again I expect a 42 or even a sub 40 if he uses all the software has to offer. He is still on the old fw like me ;).

Ah that was a tough one! The speed dropping instantly to virtually nothing was very disheartening - and I completely mucked up my gear changes at first! Seemed to reduce speed more normally on some of the ascents but not others - I think the steeper ones?

AAAC - I don't know whether to say "thanks" for waiting for me, as you made me push harder at the end than my body was prepared for - did I just get it on the line though? I'd like to see the photo finish!

The leader board indicated I pipped you at the post on my screen.

I spent too much time having fun, flying down the hills into the steep ascents and passing everyone coasting then gently dropping down into my lowest gear and getting myself over the top and scooting down again and barely broke into a sweat.
I then realised that I should have been following folk through the transitions and noting the differences.
In the end, other than the obvious pro slings I was getting and everyone else was getting the inverse is that the transition into a 2.5% didn't seem to slow bridgy down.
The one thing I should have done is coasted into a hill behind someone and see what happened in comparison.
At the end of the day that was no course for old vs new firmware as it bought out all the pluses in the old and all the negatives in the new.

Thanks everyone for encouraging me. The steep hills sometimes just confused Bkool and to had to spin up, then let Bkool catch up. I was actually quite glad for the breathers. It happened 3 to 4 times. Bloody tough course

Better watch out everyone. The Boxers isn't the only one with a secret weapon in use tonight ;).

Go for it though TB. You might kick a lot of 4rse tonight:smile:

So much for my secret weapon!! Big comfy girls saddle fitted just before the ride. Turned out to be not much better than the other one.
I was looking for a way for the bike not to suddenly stop at the beginning of each incline but it seems that anything over 10% and it just stops dead. Sometimes to 0.5 mph. With lesser gradients it's possible to do a mini slingshot by freewheeling into it with next to no power. Bit hit and miss though.
Well done to anyone who tackled that. And if I were Rob I think I'd have packed it in too.
Thanks for the encouragement Whorty. It was a tough ride indeed.

I made the most of the advantages tonight :stop:. But it is all relative. I was almost flat out to use the slingshots otherwise it just slowed way the hell down  and I was in the same place as everyone else. I found that out on pot molle :B). Still another stage I will not be repeating :headshake::surrender:.

What happened to @rob01792 ? I was watching him one minute, then he vanished. Connection issues?

Watching the race I could see you and the rest of the guys. I was flicking between riders to shout abuse (sorry I mean give encouragement) then you vanished. You seemed to be going quite well too. Def would have beaten me.

I might try another go tomorrow, depending on what time I finish work. Hopefully start by 6 o'clock.

Rob, you were in and out like crazy in the warmup so looked like you had connection problems. We could see you in the ride though until you disappeared, but if you couldn't see anyone else then not much motivation to complete a ride like that.
