So I'm back from vacation and ready to push hard through the 2nd half of the summer towards my goal time of 1:22 on the Little Cottonwood climb. I was looking at setting up some structured workouts using the new ERG mode in bkool, and something is really wonky.

In theory you're supposed to be able to take a session and add power targets for time intervals. But I can only add targets for *distance* intervals. I guess that could work too, but doesn't seem nearly as clean as a time based interval. Is anyone else setting up structured workouts in existing bkool sessions?

I'll start a session at 8pm as usual, and anyone who fancies it can join...

Sorry, not doing that twice in a row :heat:.
I think my weight at 63.5 kg looked to be right.
I may have the same problem as Bill. Speed drops are far too aggressive. Take a look at this. Just a little more than 1.5 meter and an almost instant drop of more than 20 kph, even though I put in almost 400 watt :

I had logon/conection problems last night and started late.

Saw your red icon up ahead of me and thought that can't be the Boxers ^_^, but that explains it.

I've had a couple of promotions lately up to Amateur 7, which feels about right for me as I definitely feel that bit stronger, both on the turbo and outdoors.
I think I will be blue. At least thats the colour of the default kit I've been issued afaict.

Sorry, forgot to Answer you AAAC.
Yes its Chaingang Thursday as usual with hopefully nice flat ride with no sudden gradient changes, or minimal at least. Should be good for drafting. 7pm

I been booked by the other half to go and watch Ghostbusters!
Did stage 2 in the Summer League tonite but have not yet looked at all the stats, I used Jacob as my carrot again and to close to 2 minutes out off him but with that final downhill I was constantly pushing myself to get a good gap so I had to sit up on the final descent and save a bit for the final level bits.
I may have managed to get myself above Geoff now.

IIRC there was not too many sudden large negative to positive changes (but they don't affect me atm). Lots of little gradients though. They lull you into a false sense of your power o/p.

You wouldn't have believed the result anyway!!!!

Probably a bit of pay back to the sprinter teams complaining about the GC riders getting in the way.

No do you all believe myself and Bill that this is not 'more realistic'!

I rode on auto rather than manual last night, first time in ages. I noticed I could hit 60-70kmh on the flattish bits and odd downhill, something i cannot do in manual or in in other programs when using Ant+ fec. See 1.8 km in and then 4.2km.

I might try that in the Summer League.
I can't get close to the guy who is topping the league at the moment;
One because he seems to do lot of miles and probably has more stamina than me.
Two because he works harder on the descents than me
Three, and more importantly because hes always gets more kph for watts on the flat than I do.

I got to admit my speed for watts lines up with what Bike Calculator says I should get, so I can't really complain, but I am trying to find out what his 'secret' is.
His watts seem to drop on the climbs though where I am the opposite so I am hoping for some payback in stage 3 as this looks like one for me.

Thanks . It was with a lower weight (63.5 kg.). I changed my name before doing the ride, so don't know why it says LBHIFI 81kg in the rankings.

Did you log out and log in again or have you changed your name back since as either of those reasons could be valid.
If you change your weight whilst you are in BSim your weight change does not take effect as your profile will be saved in 'the game' as it was when you logged in.

I think elsewise in the BKool website your name in any give session just reflects your current profile.
However saying that I just went to BKool Home>Share>Groups>Cycle Chat Chaingang>Leagues>Past>Home turf January sessions>Stage 1. and my name is not as it is today.

The right name is there now. Properly got fixed with the nightly maintenance.
