Well done all, don't forget to put your weights back to normal again!

Interesting to see how the more powerful riders with the heavier handicaps pulled away on the lower gradients, but the lighter handicaps gained ground on the steeper gradients. I'm trying to tweak the algorithm to get things as close as possible, but it's not easy.

I'll post the recording once it has uploaded, but on it you can see I switch from rider to another to compare wattage and speed, and it is quite alarming how much more power Bridgy had to produce to match speed with Bill on the steep bits!

Thanks Whorty. I needed all the help I could get. I closed to 8 seconds on Rob but he just took off and I never got within 19 seconds. Big fun.
Thanks Geoff!
You was closing and I thought it would be a really close finish, but Rob must have found a bit of extra energy at the end. A great ride though, well done :okay:

I'd have said that was reasonably close ...

Rob and Randy were over handicapped, Rob your Handicap was based on your previous 270 watt rides, I'll have to knock your weight back a bit!

Bob, it was that extra 3 kg!;)

I did a 10yr best up Little Cottonwood yesterday and was expecting my performance in the handicap race to suffer accordingly. But there was enough in the legs to make a respectable ride.

The damn virtual speed in bkool didn't throttle back fast enough and thus it didn't let me start on-time, then I couldn't remember how far to wait before hitting the gas... Oh well...

I saw the insane slowdown at the transition from downhill to uphill that has folks complaining -- I can't recall who was in front of me at the transition (Bill? Bridgy?) but they seemed to come nearly to a standstill. I "flew" by, but was soon caught and dropped once bkool decided they really were pedaling and laying down some real watts.

Looked like Bridgy had to make 100w more just to stay with me on any sort of gradient but that's probably quite realistic for the extra 30kg. For equal w/kg he'd have had to make nearer 450 at a guess.
