Just completed Bkool summer league stage 3. Bloody hell that was hard! I got an early lead over the ghosts inc 'Boxers'. As the climb went on, he came back at me. Every time the gradient was between 5-9% he would fly by me. Eventually he was too far ahead to catch before the finish. Well done TB, :okay:
I wont be doing that one again.

Hello guys, thank you for the tips - great ideas and I will be sure to try them out. Not sure I'll fit them in now as i have just completed the FTP test and I feel like I never want to get on the bike again, well, for today at least!

The house is empty at the moment and that never happens, so would be a shame to miss the chaingang! When does it come up on the Live tab and how long is it please?

Thanks again!

EDIT: Sorry, posts crossed - I'll go and look for it.
- What Andy said above, but you'll know you're in the right ride if you see LBHIFI in there. I hope to join in too....

I wouldn't say fly :headshake:. I was pretty consistent on my effort on that one :bicycle:. I know I gained some on the fw EPO, :stop: but I did not go looking for the saw tooth that can gain huge amounts :headshake:. I just remember it hurt, a lot, up until about 14.5k :surrender:.

From my perspective, you were flying, at one point you were 2 mins down on myposition, I entered mid gradient sections and within 1 minute you were 20 seconds ahead

That would be sections >6%. That is the point at which the trainer seems to max out for me. I still get the max resistance, it feels like it, but the indicated speed matches my wheel speed. Where it should be calculated lower due to my weight, but Hey I'm not complaining .

It could only happen to me. I got a puncture. On a trainer. Indoors. Must have been something in the tyre already.

Oh well, it couldn't only happen to me then. Not sure if that makes me happy or sad! Still, Imagine if it had happened 5 minutes before the end of the FTP test that I did earlier! Could be worse :O

Yep, I'm in the puncture on Bkool club too - although mine was more of a spectacularly loud blowout!

AAAC was in a different league to me - as usual! Thanks for waiting for me and giving me a bit of a tow though AAAC - if you're wondering where I went at one point, my front wheel is raised on a book and I noticed it had slipped and was about to fall off so had to stop and re-position it before disaster struck!

Either way, despite the bit of drafting with AAAC I was way off my pace from Thursday - may have had something to do with the couple of beers I had with lunch - who knows?!
