What happens if you use it going down hill?

Don't know will have to try ^_^ guessing you could set 300watts and resistance would alter accordingly. That is assuming you have anything left from going up hill. Not a problem for the like of you, Bill, Bridgy et al:notworthy:

Andy what is erg mode ive seen it on screen but i dont know what it is or does

You ride to a power figure you select. If you're a high cadence rider, spin away and try maintain power level. Once you slow down in cadence the software adjusts resistance accordingly. Speed is corrected automatically to whatever gradient you're going up. No more gear changes! The benefits for me are, it allows me to keep in a certain cadence range, say 95-100rpm whilst going up 10%+ gradients holding a power figure I know I can sustain. No more grinding up super steep sections.

If you look at stage 5 in the summer cup I did. I used it twice on the second hill at two different power levels, first time around 300 watts and as I began to tire half way up, 280watts. You can see flat power line and high cadence

Its not perfect and will drop out of Erg mode if you drift too far from the target power set, well that has happened to me.
Pressing P on the keyboard is awkward when you're beginning to struggle on a climb.

Useful for bigger, chunkier, solid, alright, fat riders like me:laugh:

Hi! I'm pretty new here so I've might have posted my requests in the wrong thread. I've requested to join the Mountain goat and the chain gang groups.

Can anyone of you please accept? Looking forward to ride!

Ahh, a fellow Scandinavian, from just across the "lake"...well, location "Sweden" is a bit broad, you could be 1500 km away.
You didn't post the wrong place, but it's just that this thread gets so much more attention. I think most of the admins are either on vacation, or busy getting the most out of the remaining summer. Geoff, aren't' you Chaingang and Mountain Goat admin as well?

I think ur going to be much quicker if u want me to add some ghost from about 1hr up let me know

If you could that would be great. I'm on track to be on around 8. Do I just start the warm up and wait for you to join? I don't normally do the full warm up and am happy to start it once you have joined or after if you fancy doing the warm up, let me know
