My ebola / pleurisy / man flu means I am far too near death to ride tonight anyway.

Working in healthcare means the sympathy levels for my severe illness at work are zero so am turning to my cycle chat buds for support.
Sounds like you need to make a formal complaint to whoever gave you that flu vaccine!

Done my 30km in the Velodrome, thanks Kipster although only yourself and the bots turned up.
I did the 30 km and took a BKool Screen Shot as my handle bar mounted mini keyboard does not have a print screen button.
I carried on until the session ended at 35 minutes and did 32 km dead.
I had a look at my screen shot after the session and of course it has no data in it.
I guess my time for 30 km therefore is (35/32)*30 = 32.8125 minutes = 32:49

Well done kipster, shame about your fitness level. I find this leg particularly difficult. I tried to use Ryan as a draft but lost his wheel quite early and had to do it solo. I improved on my first attempt, which is pleasing. I shall now shelve that leg.
I didn't think I'd get near you or Tommy so challenged Breedon, ended up just ahead of you and Tommy. I managed to keep a good cadence until about 3/4 of the way, then my legs started hurting.

Just had a look at the results page. Both you guys got over a minute on me on that stage! I don't know if I can compete with that to be honest, a minute + feels like quite a margin. Lots of times I'm tired but I think when I did that stage I'd had the whole day to myself so... You guys defo seem to be pushing ahead of me at the moment.

For vontoux stage after mile 6 from what i can remember it's quite a grind, doesn't drop much below 7% and stays around 9% for the last 3 or 4 miles done it twice now :heat: but good climb so easy to set a nice pace

Breedon I'll probably try the 17km one tomorrow if you fancy a go around 8. itll definately be an attempt to not roll backwards rather than a race though!

Oh thanks for the email Rob, 14 chuffing seconds.

and he did me by 3 seconds - it would have been an interesting race if the 3 of us did it at the same time.

sorry guys but hopefully now with winter upon us we should get more chances of drafting

Tommy. I don't think there is very much at all between us. Different courses suit our particular abilities. Also being tired trying to do these intense sessions can be very draining. I know if I ride hard a couple of days in succession I quickly become fatigued.

This....

I am amazed AAAC, bill, brisgy and LB for example can ride so intensely ride after ride with no apparent ill effect. I need a couple of days between hard rides, sometimes more if I am also commuting by bike.

I wish I could Bob, but the harsh reality is that I need a good day or two rest between league rides. There have been occasional exceptions but generally I'll be well down in performance if I ride 2 or 3 days in a row. LB on the other hand has done 5 days in a row quite recently. :notworthy:
