Thanks to TB's tip about copying instead of challenging a league ride I went a bit crazy adding loads of ghosts! Yours still beat me though Bob!! I did improve my time quite a bit though ^_^
Noticed that! Got the infamous 'you have been challenged and beaten' email. Good going Paul!!

where did that Javier come from??!
Yeah, but I thought: a guy pushing those kind of watts and still wearing a red jersey? ... he must weigh a ton. We'll crush him on the ascend.
Well, he turned Pro 8 on that ride, so great effort of you to be only 20 seconds behind at the end.

When LB and Bridgy were with Javier, he was holding 450-500w, when he pulled away he kept 500w+ for a long time before letting them drop. I was watching him closely to see if there was a 'problem' but all appeared above board, speed and watts would fluctuate slightly and his HR was going up. He did drop back on the climb section and Bridgy closed within 6 seconds of him, but he unleashed some more big watts when the terrain flattened out near the top of the climb.

Typical my subscription ran out overnight. Are there any offers around that people know of? Last year they offered me £62 to get me to sign up but it was my first year so may have been a one off

Sorry to repeat the above, it probably got lost in the racing last night. Are there any offers or do I need to stump up the £78 later?

Not that it really matters (he was a good "hare" for me to chase!), but looking at Javier's other rides I suspect there was something a bit odd going on for him on that ride. His "effort" was 127%, and he averaged 393 watts. If you look at all his other rides on his profile though, he's always between 249 and 300 watts with similar HR (hence the 127% effort and big jump in fitness level). Some of us - including me - have had similar rides from time to time. In fact my fitness level has only just dropped down from being inflated by a 129% effort ride at the start of the last league which was obviously dodgy.

I think I remember someone saying Zwift had a system of flagging rides which were obviously out of the ordinary, which seems like a good idea. It's not the rider's fault - you don't necessarily realise how "wrong" the ride is while you're doing it, and it can only become really obvious when you see the stats and the big leap in fitness level afterwards!

The option to flag a ride is available in Zwift. It is there really to address users of non smart trainers or users who have mistakenly:whistle: or deliberately lowered their weight or similar. I too have benefited from bkools algorithms but short of not saving the ride I done see anyway to flag or bring to bkools attention so that it doesn't artificially increase ones fitness level.

Yeah, it's probably just something we have to live with when it happens from time to time. For someone who likes to keep a log of their rides on Strava to track how much activity you've been doing (like me), it's a bit gutting to do a 45 minute ride and not save it, just because Bkool's decided to be a bit generous on the amount of resistance it's given you that day!

With regards the fitness level, there's not really much practical use for this apart from I think it dictates your "power zones" on screen, which some people may want to use for training I suppose. You can always do a new FTP test to get your fitness level back down to where it should be, but it seems a bit of a punishment to have to go through because of a fault of Bkool's! (Unless the anomaly is because you forgot to change your weight back up - I think we're all agreed that's unforgivable and worthy of a punishment FTP test or similar )

Wahooo, jumped a few fitness levels.:hyper: I tried to stay with Bridgy, Bob and Bill, which was working until Bob ruined it by losing Bridgy's wheel^_^. I then went ahead of Bob whilst he went back for Bill. Everything was looking good for a great time, until Bob came past, almost without me noticing had 1.5 minutes on me before the bottom of the climb! Bill caught me at the bottom of the hill, I held his wheel until the last 1/3 of of a mile(Bill off top form). Pleased as I didn't die on the climb and for once felt quite comfortable.
