Just shy of 3hrs. I was on a low 2hr pace through the halfway point and totally cratered over the last 4-5 miles.
The second half is certainly worse than first half. I was looking at sub 2 hours until about 5 km out then the real pain set in! I certainly couldn't have lasted 3 hrs in the saddle so amazing that you stuck it out!

Good result in the men's Junior RR Lars, you must be proud.
I was watching it live with 8 km to go and 2 Danes were 10 secs off the front after another consecutive attack and then the interweb went.
Shame as it was behaving really well.
I managed to get back in to see the winners interview but little more. I did see that the American, McNaulty did not get a medal after all his efforts but I hope neither did either of the wheel zucking French riders!

Yes, some really promising youngsters. One of them, Julius Johansen, rode in the "Sommercup" (http://www.sommercup.dk/) last year, just a level beyond me.
He took 4th place in the WC TT, but was beaten by another dane, Mikkel Bjerg, who took silver.

I'm certainly paying the price for it today -- my knees and "undercarriage", as you put it, are rather unhappy today. But there was no way I was going to quit. My power output for the last several miles was laughable., it was painful just to get it into triple digits, which is where I'd normally recover if I was doing any kind of intervals.

Interestingly enough that kind of ride seems to keep my BP down for many hours -- though I'm guessing its due to dehydration.

I've got a couple days to recover as we're heading up the vacation house for the weekend, so I would be ready for the Aspin climb Sunday night when we're back home.

Watched the whole last 8 km now. It was good to see the French rider getting annoyed at the 2nd Dane for not pulling, that was real karma.
Shame your guys didn't place 2nd or 3rd either.
The American rode his own legs off which is also a shame as he was probably the strongest going into the last 20 km but his will to win got the better of wise race craft.
I must say though I have seen quite a few men's Pro races recently where the race has been thrown away in a battle of wits amongst the would be contestants.
Etixx are masters of loosing a sure thing.

Well just done my HIIT session. Legs are a bit sore, but I may have set the power too low as I couldn't get the heart rate up significantly, before the recovery section. I may need to do a stepped HIIT session instead. Still learning this side of the riding .

Still good news I didn't xx(. Off to get domething to eat :mrpig: and drink ^_^ now.

"Never quit, however long it takes and how painful it is" - should this be the Moose motto?

or "I may be slow, but I'll always finish what I start"

Americanise it and add a 'hoo hah' or two or even '1234..34' that'll get the team spirit rising.
I can almost hear the battle cries already and the adrenalin is rising.
Oops weight loss bug attack, got to run.........(literally).
