I managed to stick to @Breedon up until the hill and then he left me for dead. After that I pushed as hard as I could but I was in a lot of pain. Fortunately I let a bit for the very last hill and pushed hard up that so if you want to beat my ghost don't forget that little nasty at the end

Glad i could help @Whorty did you use my first attempt ghost or second? Used my climbing bike for the second attempt better gearing.
Did the latest stage of the goats league yesterday did quite well managed to increase my fitness level to active 7.
It was this ride of yours. We hit the hill and you just pulled away - far too much power for me. Off the top of the hill I was 4 mins down but managed to hang on to this diff for the remainder of the ride which I was quite pleased with. But as goats go, you had me beat easily!!
I'm not even active 1 yet ... still amateur 9
Hopefully get into the Active group within the next month 
That was my exact experience too .... I think gravity helped us 'larger' gents for the first part as it was slightly downhill. Then gravity worked against us on the hill

So so c!ose in the world's RR, not a Dane to be seen though. Belgium masterminded the whole race a threw it away in the finale. Just goes to show that numbers do not always make the difference.
It was reminiscent to may of the Etixx disasters this year.
However having committed to a split race the other countries in the group were wise enough to let those with numbers do the work.
Germany were left out totally but the winner was still a well disserved and mostly popular one.
Cav actually congratulated someone for beating him just after the line.
PS. I hope Adam Blythe gets a contract now as he was another who has a good finish after a hard race and could well have done his own thing.
He gave Cav an excellent chance but he decided to do his own thing. He owes Adam a pint or two now!
