I'm looking for a stand to put my laptop on to get it a bit closer than it is in my current setup. Preferably something that will fold away when not needed, and isn't too expensive! Has anyone got any recommendations? I am looking at something like this - £20ish on ebay - but any other suggestions gratefully received:

I use the bike maintence stand, I made a platform for the laptop from wood and fastened it to the head of an old camera tripod, this clamps in the jaws of the stand, it can be easily folded if required.

But I have the issue of lugging a large (but slowly shrinking) lump of lard around that when it goes downhill I speed up, even @-0.1%, so I have a constant fight to not over power on the downhill and not enough power to maintain the draft on the uphill.

You heavier guys can still get fit racing at a lighter virtual weight.
If that levelled the playing field and resulted in us having more fun in the live races then I don't see that anyone would be concerned.

The only time it would make a difference is when your weight is your power i.e. Jackob.s o some discretion would be required.

Are you going to have to adjust your weight downwards following all your recent....um......."weight-loss events"??

Definitely getting itchy feet now and can't wait to get back in the saddle.
I will use my jet lag day to run updates and perhaps do a shortish power based league ride like a quick goats, if there are any quick goats, before I try anything more fitness based like a live league re-run.
Go on do a league leg to fight off jet lag.
I slept like a baby after last night's leg

There is the goats, moose, handicap and chaingang leagues organised from this forum. There are many others, it depends on how much riding/racing you want. Bear in mind if you want to get quicker, you need to have rest days to recover. Unless you're 20 years old, and by rights should thrash us all everyday of the week.

Tiny I dont see your ride in the league, did you save it at the end? I thought you had been accepted into the league by Bill or Rick

What is your Bkool username?

Hi Andy .. thanks for that , coulple of years off 50 year old so no youngster lol !

:stop: I bend the situation enough with old fw, a situation beyond my control (without buying a new trainer). I dislike cheating because ultimately I'm only cheating myself. And for what? A position or two up on the results board :headshake:.

I'll stick with my struggles on weight beacuse lowering it by work rather than mouse click is more rewarding :mrpig:. Also when I can catch those in front it gives me a boost :wahhey:.

Downside is no HIIT session tonight . The recovery adviser from last nights chaingang puts me at another 7 hours to go, worked a bit harder than I thought  . I'll do it tomorrow instead of the re-run .

You might want to change your username on Bkool to tiny or put a signature on this forum so we can recognise you. I see your ride now:okay:

Wow Darren, you have a lowish heart rate for the power you develop. The hill and latter part of the ride you were running high power. Are you touching 100kg in weight

How do you get to see the different leagues in the bkool app? It only allows me to see 6 different ones at a time! Enjoyed the 10 mile tt (sadly on my own this afternoon!) especially without too many hills, fat piggy's like myself don't enjoy them!
erm - not quite on your own were you ! thanks for the email :okay:
