Two moto's I have lived by.
One is on the Royal Garter that adorns many a military badge and the other is on the hat badge of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (The Corps, hoo hah, 1234..34!).

Bit worried you are telling us your butt is stuck to the lounger. Trying not to think about why...

9 days I was eating fast food style and not one tiny accident I am pleased to say.
The only fall out is that my lips are so swollen from acid burn I'm now like a Play-Doh machine pumping out long strips of moldable you know what.
Good thing is, unlike UK porcelain, the bowls here are designed for post event inspection all be it submerged (unlike the German design).
Don't think about it too long!!!!

I really really hope I don't need to take HID on a Caribbean holiday next time I need to upgrade my trainer or more likely splash out on a years subscription to Zwift.

Tourmalet tonight. About the pain level I expected. Major dropout on the trainer about 3/4 ways through the ride, I was damn worried it was going to totally crash on me.

I've concluded my heart and lungs are just fine; I reached my "pop" point and was struggling to keep any semblance of reasonable wattage. Threw the sim/trainer into erg mode, cadence came up, watts came up and I was able to easily hold them steady and even increase wattage. Must. Lose. Weight. and find good way to train muscle endurance as that seems to be a bigger problem than heart/lungs at this point.

Same problem here. Since I returned from my holiday a week ago, my legs are like useless, absolutely no power.. slowly getting them back but I'm starting to think I should never holiday away from home again.. or leave HID behind and take the trainer.. :giggle:

I lost 4 weeks in may, then 5 weeks in July due to working away and hols and it really does destroy the fitness levels! Feeling good at the moment though so hoping not too much more travel this year ^_^

I can see there are a few absentees already for the rerun tonight. Anyone going to have a go? I need to make a choice between that and a goat league ride and would rather a group ride if enough of us are going to be riding.

Of the eight times I have been here I have never had such a long 'episode' before.
Whenever you change your diet some short term problems can be expected most of which can be sorted out by one dose of Imodium.
I even generally get one day of 'unrest' when I go to the States.
Of the nine days of 'unrest' this year only day one layrd me up in my room and that was more out of choice.

I wan't sure which to do either ... just logged on to see who might be doing the re-run in an hour, but as it looks like could be just you and I, and I'd hate to embarrass you  I think it's going to be goat ride for me. Off to get changed then will be doing Col Du Tourmalet in about 15 mins. Feel free to join my ride ....

Just tried to get to the league rides .... where the hell are they? I don't see an option to find league rides in the new system!!!

Edit; just found it - had to use the up and down arrows rather than the mouse on the PC ... how quaint. Was this written in quickBasic?
