 Erm how to put this .

Right, my lawyer has already submitted the insanity defence . I will be starting my attempt at the Tourmalet @about 3:30pm. If you would like to kick my arse, not difficult it's big enough :mrpig:, you can join me .
Should be a good one for you - the second half should suit your superpowers  Still hard work, but should give you a good workout :okay: I'll pop in for a look, but you probably won't know due to the new software

Wow - so much for the new firmware etc clipping his wings too

Nice ride AAAC :okay:

I can always put a 'strong' ride in after short break hence choosing the 12.1 km climb.
My legs were strong but my lungs were not so giving as I still have a bit of a lingering cold on my chest..
I think I also have Bob to thank as I challenged him and got a load of Bots in the ride as well.
Two of the Bots escorted me all the way to the top of the climb and matched any pace changes I made.
Forgotten what they are called but I assumed by their name they are intended to help unlike the Diesel Bot that powered away minutes ahead of me.

Did a couple of warm down rides after, just to play with the new interface, and I must say it has some Pro's but mostly Con's.

After finishing my warm downs I had a shower, washed out my kit and just as I was hanging it to air I had a long bout of heart burn which had me lying down for 15 minutes. That was not nice.

Thanks for the support @Whorty that was hard . I managed to stay out of the superpower most of the way . There was a section where it kicked in, but tbh, it didn't make any difference  :B). About 2 miles from the end my legs went to jelly and my hr dropped by about 10bpm and I never got it or my legs back working properly :surrender:.

Still only 2 mountain stages to go before the end of the month .

Sorry, your Tourmalet ride was accidentally deleted by a trainee admin. Can you ride it again please?

Well I did the Col d'Aspin stage again first time LBHIFI beat me at the line by under 4 seconds using his ghost and Miljovetare who was about 25 seconds ahead of me in the table so it was just to tempting to resist, so used both ghosts and mine manged to hold of Miljovetare's ghost getting closer to the line he was gaining so had to dig extremely deep and manged to hold him off with two seconds spare with me saying out lound NOT AGAIN NOT AGAIN i can safely say im now hurting
I could hardly turn the pedals over when cooling down :heat:.

Rest day tomorrow unless i get bored and do alp d'Huez

Has anyone else's age changed? Bkool now says I am 46 !!

Where do we set our age? Because I can't find it :cursing:
Mine did - but weirdly by just one day! You can change it in the "My Profile" section on the bkool website, and now I think you can also change it in the new Bsim in settings from the home page

The next Handicap Chase is Spin round the block with Liam

Next run is 8pm (plus Start Time) this Tuesday 25th October 2016.

Start Times (Handicaps) are as follows... (when underway time equals or exceeds the given Start Time).

If anyone else wants to take part, can they let us know a competitive time for the stage, or failing that their fitness level and who they usually finish close to.

upload_2016-10-23_21-28-1.png

Your handicap is based on your previous times, and is used to generate a Start Time.

Like golf, the higher the Handicap the more assistance you get, so the earlier the Start Time.

Your Handicap is reduced slightly if you have only completed one chase, and reduced more if you have completed none (and your time is based on doing the stage outside the handicap format). Therefore you are rewarded for completing the handicap chase once, and rewarded more for a second one, as your time should more closely reflect your current potential.

Finally, the Handicap is also reduced slightly for those who are furthest behind the fastest time, as they have more chance of significantly improving their times. The front runners will always struggle to improve their times much, especially after a couple of runs, so they need the full Handicap to stay competitive.

This algorithm has developed across several stages (and previous Chain Gang rides) and closed the bulk of the field from around 10 minutes to around 3 minutes, and hopefully future runs will close it up again slightly.

It is always likely that the win will be taken by an early starter who improves significantly, which is probably a good thing as it improves motivation. It is also possible that any significant under performance on previous bests will result in trailing in at the back, for even the fastest riders. I don't think this can be helped. However, so long as the bulk of the entrants finish close together it should make for a more entertaining session for the majority, and make the format worthwhile.

You were escorted?i was about 2/3 the way but pulled away and they were always a few seconds at least behind me but in no way did that hold me back. I just tried to stay in front of them which I am sure helped my time. It's definitely helpful to have bots especially those that are much faster as something to chase.as well. Cracking time AAAC, surely a Bkool record? I cannot log in to check at moment.
