Good evening my fellow Bkoolers. This evening I received a prod from my old friend Tommy, and I think it was just what I needed to rouse me from my summer cycling hibernation. Our turbo is presently located deep in the bowels of our garage, and probably home to several species of vermin.
My pleasant and unexpected poke from Tommy could well be just what I needed to go digging for said turbo, serve appropriate vermin eviction notices, and come see just how much ground I have lost to you die hards, especially as there are now faint murmurings of DD!
Hello mate! :welcome: back!!

I'm up for the DD biggy anyways, and I am here to help with accomodation enquiries. I am stupidly unfit atm, and have an annoying knee issue. But would never let common sense or a niggly injury prevent me from inflicting further, possibly lasting damage on myself.
The nausea, extreme fatigue and unbelievable pain is now just a distant memory, and I relish the prospect of another torturous and masochistic cycling event.

Talking of DD. What routes are being offered and length, and amount of elevation?
I don't want to do 100 plus miles. More than happy to do 60-80 miles. Not bothered about climbing with my available setup, so happy to go up the steepest climbs.
there are 3 rides on offer. 120, 90 and i think 60 miles. All start at the same place and I believe you can make your choice during the ride. I'm hoping I can do the 120 miles, but in reality might end up only doing 90. 120 miles for me is at least 10 hours I think.

With good training you would be able to do it quicker than that.
at the minute I can do around 60 miles but my back at the moment won't let me do anything longer, but I'm doing core strength and some weights which is helping a lot

I am looking at either the 95 miles or 60 miler. Who is interested in those distances? Also would anyone fancy meeting up Saturday for an evening meal at a local venue( don't want to presume Adam would want to put up with all us) , like a cyclechat gathering:hello: Faces to names^_^
I'd be up for that Andy. I've paid and signed up already so happy with 95 or 60. I'd like to think I could do 95 ....

It's this type of common sense that's been badly missed in your absence!

Welcome back bud!

I will book us into a mates restaurant once I know how many we are. I can accommodate 2 at mine, 3 if I kick Camlo out, but I insist on sleeping on the right hand side.
Bill has one room booked and if Randy is still thinking of coming, I did offer him the other. If he isn't coming, Bridgy you are more than welcome to stay again, simply because you passed the axe murderer disclaimer questionnaire.
