Once a login failed, e.g. because of Bkool servers down or internet down, Bkool ditches your login. You used to be able to check "Remember me" but that option is not there anymore, so I have to enter my password everytime I login now.

Same for me Lars. Have to enter it every single time. Bunch of amateurs doing the programming. Doesn't seem to be any common sense amongst then at all. :cursing:

Click the cross next to your name to remove it, then login using the new user option and tick to remember your password. It will then add you back to the menu but remember your password!

Well done Bob - sounds a bit like my Ventoux ride! I wonder if it'll still show up in the league? I'm not sure what that time would do to the final standings - do you know?

Not fussed to be honest Paul. My left leg kept me awake a bit last night and so I felt best not to push too hard & decided not to push past 260w. Each time I did I could feel it beginning to tighten. I forced myself not to look at and identify a time or wattage to hit 2nd place. Didn't want to fail. Just pleased to finish^_^
And no problems with either leg so al good!

It's yet to happen to me however I did fall into the dead end circuit when you browser saved password is wrong and every time you open BSim it just fails.

The implementation of the new GUI has been less than professional so I am expecting more migration to Zwift which will be a shame.
I have yet to give it a go and my BKool subscription expires next Feb so I may give it a go soon (perhaps I can use my 99p 3 months first as well.
They really do need to have a sensible release strategy that involves a production acceptance test procedure followed by a Beta Launch before full release but it feels like they huddle round in their office and send an e-nail to their script writers and then just throw it over the wall.
I'm sure it's not as bad as that but it's not a lot better.

Zwift obviously does not offer the variety of rides that Bkool has. There are only 3 venues or courses from which rides take place. But the whole thing is so much slicker and intuitive and the developers are responsive to user input. In the next month or so they will move to iOS in addition to PC Mac meaning anyone with an iPhone or iPad will be able to run the software and communicate etc in game. It will make a huge difference.
That aside the ride and race community has grown hugely embracing all levels of rider ability. It's the main reason I think why we don't see Ryan here much anymore. It's very enticing. But the lack of courses does not really allow for the type of rides or leagues or community we have in bkool.
After using Zwift, starting up Bkool is like using an unfriendly piece of old software, it's limitations all too apparent. Frustration comes from a sense that if they spent some time coding so they could offer some of the features of Zwift, not necessarily all, just some and addressed the obvious flaws then for me Zwift would be an occasional flirtation rather than a go to ride when I am not riding with you guys.

Im so frustrated at the minute, went on to bkool website to set up some ghosts for mont ventoux using the copy method, did a warm up and felt great ready to smash my previous time went to bsim and couldn't find it in the league's part as it only shows 8, i don't know about anyone else but if you take part in 4 leagues then showing only 8 rides is s$#t.

Im seriously considering buying a pro unit just so i can give Zwift a try, its the first time im really pissed at bkool, BUT i do like the league's and the amount of routes they've got but they have fecked up on this "upgrade".

Some things with BKOOL are a bit of joke. The small font size in race text is a prime example. The fact they haven't picked up on this and addressed it probably sums up BKOOL quite well. Comedy show.

I will say this though and I think it's something we're all aware of. I'm not sure this community survives in zwift in the same way it has on BKOOL and that's a real shame. I think, and I may be wrong about this, that people in groups are more likely to be banded with others of similar ability on zwift. What's great here is the diverse mix of people and ability. Lots of different personalities is more interesting for me. I really like the saying; "it's not where you are but who you are with". I think that's very true here. It's like my local pub in Camden. Bit of a shithole! But the people make the place. People from every walk of life stood next to each other. Maybe the migration to zwift is becoming more and more inevitable. But my opinion is we try and prolongue it for as long as possible. Maybe we should spend the next few weeks hammering BKOOL with emails in a team effort and seeing what results we can achieve? Anyone on Facebook or Twitter? I'm not but my missus is and I can use her accounts. If they have a presence on social media I suggest we give them a bit of a public shaming. I've found companies to be quite responsive to this tactic in the past.

If you did that today you may find it did notwork because the league ended yesterday therefore you will not be able to edit it for today.

If u go in to scheduled rides on the bkool click on edit put the date forward by a day or so keep doing that to the rides until the 1 u want moves up to within the 1st eight (only need to edit the league rides) then it will show on the sim league ride
I had a play round earlier and this worked hope ive explained it clear enough

I think I will be jumping onto Zwift workout for a 12 week course. I'll still do the Bkool leagues but not all of them, if it interferes with Zwift

I've done a couple of months on zwift and renewed my membership with Bkool, I do like the user aspect of zwift but it stops there for me. The cyclechat group and the leagues is what I missed and glad to be back taking part again.

Also I find my numbers far more accurate using a bkool trainer and the bsim, I struggle to average 200 watts on zwift, and having the luxury of a powertap on my road bike bkool is far more accurate to my fitness level.

At the moment I can only make the Thursday night chain gang league rides, and I'm already noticing a difference in my fitness levels...

Am I right in thinking you have a kickr trainer ? If so you might find it more accurate but I didn't get into the workouts as my numbers were so far out.

Hi Monte, yes I do have Kickr. I had planned to use it for accuracy and stability. I cant do full power runs on the bkool pro, I find it wants to topple, where as the Kickr is rock solid. I don't know whether I will swap back onto the Pro for chaingang races or just accept being slightly hampered in comparison.
