Is that supposed to sound evocative?
That 'beast' has long since taken early retirement I'm sorry to report.

I've just been looking at my 'friends' on Bkool, and hells bells, you're all up the there with your fitness levels aren't you? Everyone has improved loads since I was last loitering on the Bkool street corners, swigging from a gin bottle wrapped in a paper bag. I actually felt quite embarrassed at my laziness. I see you haven't changed much though Soarer. Might be worth sticking Carruthers on for a few sessions, see if you can hit Active 1? Get him to do the turbo, and you iron your own pants?
I believe it is very bad form and totally un-British to perform well in anything therefore I intentionally keep my bkool rating at a very low level.

Did actually intend to ride tonight but we had a bizzarely exciting evening. Mrs Soarerv8 rudely claims that Bobinski is a bit whiffy so therefore has taken to burning equally stinky candles around the house. Somehow managed to set fire to the sofa in the kitchen which I had to be very manly and put out. Perhaps the most expensive opportunity I have had to say "bloody told you so" in quite some time.

Oh yes and on response to your other message Bobinski and Kipster are the latest cool trend in cycle chat themed pets, I suggest you get a Soarerv8 tortoise or pet sloth asap.

You have a sofa in your kitchen? Sorry.....HAD a sofa in your kitchen? Your breakfast bar must be lower than mine.

Am I right in thinking that we now have both Kipster and Bobinski canine namesakes?
Sorry. I'm still at work or would have replied earlier. Yes,our Kipster is now 8 months and going through the stage where he has forgotten his name.

On the BKOOL side I haven't been keeping up at all the last 3 months with a bad knee like everyone else then low motivation. But now DD is going to make me get serious again.

Morning all

I've agreed to a shopping trip into London's Death Valley, 'AKA' the west end... The missus is slightly suspicious, as she should be, as I only agreed to it so I can try and get some of the gear I need to turn our guest room into my new pain cave Whoop whoop! Anyways... What do I need? The plug thing that gives you better internet, what's that called? A lead between laptop and tv? A 40 inch tv too big or about right? Forgive my blindingly impressive tech talk.

Oh, also any tumble dryer recommendations? Let's just say the management played hardball in the negotiations...

I'm afraid your advanced technological mind lost me shortly after 'plug'. I thought London's West End was all about theatres and musicals, not Curry's and Maplins?

Good luck TT.
I highly recommend the BT powerline adapters. The others i have had over the years always seemed to suffer from signal loss, losing connection with the router. I put it down to old electrical wiring and then decided to bite the bullet, funnily enough after a lost bkool session on Ventoux i think. They have been pretty much flawless since. I have the below but faster versions available. Mine allow me to connect from the loft, after i extended power cable up there, and not only run bkool no problems but i use pc in loft as music server to the house over ethernet via the powerline adapters too with only the occasional issue and that sorted with a quick reset of the adapter in the loft-a minute at most.

same price at maplin etc and JL wil price match.

Ebuyer tends to be pretty good for screens and your laptops connections will determine cable time, probably hdmi for image and sound transfer. Screen on wall or stand? Cheapest on Amazon.

Tumble dryer? Good clothes line outside? We got one from AO, a beko at £200. I hate it though.

Depending on how much you are sweating in your man cave and as it's a guest room you could probably do with 'HG Eliminator of All Unpleasent Smells at Source'. Helps to stop my missus complaining too often....

@Add there's a place called Oxford street, beleive it's on the monopoly board. It's where all the drones go on Saturdays to be with fellow lost souls (do drones have souls? hmmm).

@bobinski great info thanks!

I'll order the bt power link / have a look in John Lewis. I'm assuming it'll work with any network provider, i.e Virgin? I'm going to mount the screen to the wall, I actually built a wall mount for another tv using 'unistrut' which is a metal system they use in the building trade. Worked out really well.

With regards the tumble dryer I've never wanted one. But we don't have a very big airing cupboard so this time of year it becomes a pain drying clothes. We actually looked at beko on ao funnily enough. You don't rate them or just tumble dryers in general?
