Strava says we have ridden that before and much faster. LB has done it in just under 1h and 2mins. Bill and I 4 mins or so slower. I suspect Bkool was a little faster then. If it is the ride i recall then there is a 3D version. I think we kept riding through flooded roads!

You're right, we did it in the March-April chaingang league. Weird though, because we'd surely have ridden in 3D mode, but Bkool's saying it doesn't have a 3D version, but it is the same session. Very odd

Everything about bkool is odd. I'm seriously considering going over to Zwift for a while just for the workout sessions. Really fed up with them messing up and not listening to us. :cursing:

Im sure bill said that stage closes tonight
its taken a year to beat u
Are the rides not being left open for the whole month like last time? I liked that as it gave me the chance to re-ride a route and improve. I may have to challenge my first time anyway as I took it fairly easy Sunday I think - i dud a second 40 minute ride afterwards so I couldn't have emptied the tank up the hill!

yes it is open until end of month but I would save ur energy as the other goats ride look tough and we wouldn't want u to over do it

Morning all,
I haven't done a live race on the new format, what is the best way? Is there an elapsed time if you click on the race as before
No, Bkool in their wisdom have got rid of that! They've also done something to muck up the password input so I think Geoff's done away with the password for now.

The elapsed time on the ride is visible once you've found it through the search filter but before you click on it - although last week even this wasn't much use for me as the time was going at double speed so was completely inaccurate! I think we may just have to rely on Geoff starting the ride at exactly 8pm and join at the appropriate time past 8

THE DARK SIDE... only joking - I used Zwift for a couple of months and in fairness Zwift has a lot better interface than bkool, I took part in some of the events (there's loads of them to choose from) which I also thought was good - however the bit that finally broke me was the amount of bullshit you have to put up on their facebook page, a lot of people using dumb trainers with power meters, a lot of people obviously feeling like they can't be honest about their weight or equipment as the numbers were all over the place, I've had people go past me pushing 10watts/kg and holding it for ages... really maybe they should be on the pro-circuit, lol...

Whilst BKOOL is frustrating, the thing that makes it for me is this community. I honestly finish a ride knowing that my position reflects my fitness at that time and I've been beat by someone stronger not by equipment or bullshit.

BKOOL should recognise this group and be very grateful and reward the people that give up a lot of their time to set up & manage the leagues.

I agree Monty - the only reason I stick by Bkool is because of this group. :hugs: The racing is awesome fun, but for this winter I was going to try and do one race a week (didnt manage it last week though) and the rest of the time try to do more structured training. Bkool has added workouts but there is still no way of creating your own (the USA rep thought I may be missing something but I searched everywhere and cant find anything - he hasnt got back to me either). Zwift just makes life so much easier on that side of things but I would still miss the racing and the odd mountain climb too much

What you say about the US rep there Rick shows what we've said before - the Bkool employees/representatives don't seem to actually use the simulator much if at all themselves! This is at the heart of the problems we keep seeing in my opinion

@gbrown - I'm available tomorrow evening (it's only a one off) however i'm not on the pace with where you have put me. Can I bribe you with a few pasties to alter my start time ???

I looked to see who you finished alongside in the recent chaingang (Breedon) to suggest we started you alongside them, but I see you already are!
