I must have been reading your mind as I expected you to go off fast. I thought if I could reach you I might be able to hang on for a bit. Had the incline been 8% plus it may have worked for a few km but as soon as we hit the 5% section my watts drop through the floor. Got me a big start though and will give Monte a conundrum :-D Does he chase off the blocks, or hope I faded and try to real me in later?
You front runners really put a lot of thought into this (probably why you are front runners).

I pedal a bit feel tired don't pedal as hard feel a bit better pedal harder again and so on.

Not sure my small brain has room for strategy as well as sending a message to my legs not to give up.

Afternoon All,
I posted here previously about a trip to Ventoux and there was a little interest. Well, I am posting to say we have firmed up the date. A group of 6 of us, with 2-3 spaces available, will fly out on the 30th June next year. Most will stay 4 days whilst a few of us may stay another 2 or even 3 days. As i said previously, i hope, bikes will be collected from kent/london a few days before and our host Angus will take them over with all luggage etc, in his fully kitted out van bringing them back when he returns. He will book flights to nearest Airport, we fly out, he meets us at airport bringing our bikes and then drops us off at a convenient point for a 60km ride to our location where our luggage awaits us. Much the same arrangement on the way back but in reverse. The weather there can be a little windy as we know so if needs be the van can be used to drive us to areas where the weather is more favourable. Cost will be between £599 and £699 depending on number of people going and includes flights, accomodation transport of bikes etc, breakfeast and lunch and following us around on the van ferrying food and water and mechanical assistance. We went to northern France with Angus last year and had a very positive experience despite poor weather. I would expect similar next year with increased likelihood of good weather and then there is of course, Ventoux!
If anyone is interested and thinks they can commit to (and i understand how difficult it is to get agreement from families for a trip such as this as well as concerns about cost and use of holiday time) then perhaps best to pm me rather than use this thread.
cheers
Bob

I'd love to go Bob, but my biking passes are fully used up on my two short weekends away. Sounds like a great holiday but HID would want a trip to the Caribbean as compensation.

So what's the proper way to set up a league re-run these days, particularly if it's a ride that repeats in the league?

I'm thinking specifically about the Banff ride from the handicap league. I couldn't do the ride live and when I went to do it later with ghosts, I couldn't ever set that up as a league ride. So I did it out of the league. I just went to do a short league run with no ghosts so that Geoff could transfer my out-of-league time into the league.

I see a Banff ride in the sim, but if I do a run on that, it counts towards the 2nd running of Banff within the league. I can schedule a league run of Banff and it appears in my sessions on the web site, but I can't find it in the sim.

I'm also having a problem with the Spin around the block with Liam ride, which I also did out of the league and wanted to do a short league run for Geoff to transfer in. I can schedule that ride via the website, but it never shows up in the sim.

Frankly, the whole way you select rides in the sim is a disaster. The hard limit of 8 rides, inability to see some rides that I have explicitly scheduled, etc. It's enough to make one want to cry. Has anyone heard from bkool lately about getting some of this lameness addressed?

JLO, Don't forget a League ride has to be current to schedule it. I don't think Spin Around the Block is current.
Other than that just challenge someone, you can add ghosts later once they are in your activity.

So, give her the trip already!^_^ As Andy said, AAAC's your man for a recommendation!

Understood Bill. I know you a mountains man and if you could come you would.

I see one of the featured Bkool rides is in your neck if the woods. American fork. I'll be there for some training next week but no time for any bike riding even though it looks like some nice paved trails.

Yup. American Fork is just down the road a bit. There's a good climb up American Fork Canyon available as a 3D ride in bkool. I didn't get a chance to record video for that climb over the summer
