Goldwolfie,
You kicked my bass in the last mile. I gave it everything I had left. Strong work.

Thanks @Randyberlin I enjoyed that one. When I went passed and you came back at me I didn't have much left, as it took it out of me trying to catch you. Looks like we both gave it everything we had.

I forgot to wear my HRM, which is a pity as that could have been interesting. Also I got knocked back another level again to AM 7 - my red shirt seems to be well and truly a fashion item of the past.

As it happens Bridgy you and I were on par in the Watts/kg stakes but we lack the potential energy to take us down hill quick and as you are 3 kg down on me in BKool I had the edge today fand had some help from my friend as well.
So sorry Bridgy, I did say one stage one shot but I really goofed on Thursday with the 80 PSI and Bill dragged me home so I wanted to repay the favour today although he may not see it like that when it comes to the handicap.
I also think GB should show some discretion and use Bill's Thursday's ride for the handicap as that was all his effort.

This is probably one of my favorite posts ever

Looking forward to doing the hill climb later at my new official weight of 88kg .

Take that cakes and alcohol! And you said I couldn't survive without you? Pah!*

*Obviously we're still on for Christmas my old friends...

:okay: I really don't have the will power, well done Tommy. This will certainly help in the climbs.

I need to be in a retreat to take away temptation:hungry:

Goes off to search for cycle tow rope supplier in Wales^_^

Cheers Andy

I'm trying to cut out refined sugar completely which I've found quite a test. Alcohol, I've just cut back drastically, but not completely... We went to a dinner party last night and not drinking put me in a minority of one. Quite strange.

I don't want to get obsessed with it, we normally eat pretty healthy stuff, but just trying to be a bit more aware of portion sizes and snacking.

Yeah thanks I think that is it. My legs are ok ish my lungs are the problem. Guess I ought to do some of the vo2 max training sessions in bkool. Something to work on.
You and me both. I need to do more rides like this (which I don't enjoy) rather than the hills (which I do enjoy). I was thinking my time on this one was quite poor, but actually seeing the times from last night I'm in the right ballpark - I just feel so shattered when I get off the bike that I assume I had a bad ride :heat:

Don't worry about being shattered, I didn't even warm down and just sat on my stairs for five minutes before even moving!

Please tell me they are the cellar stairs to the coal bunker and your not another posh get that's got more than one storey in their house.

On a more serious note if I don't warm down and stretch off I get night cramps on account of taking statins. It's quite hilarious to HID when my quads cramp and I try to get out of bed to walk it off and the other one goes and I fly backwards back onto the bed in agony.
