ha ha, yep, that was me  Just couldn't resist chasing after @BILL S . I know I shouldn't have done, but I need to teach my body to recover once it's made a massive push. My lungs must be punished

Ha!

I can't help myself either... It's like a red rag to a bull when people start pinging off in front of you isn't it? There's definitely an art to knowing how much is in the tank.

Nice ride earlier gents

Painful, but short and sweet!

Bill I think you may need to approve my ride.

Bob, I'm going to assume you have witchy connections after that one! :notworthy: I don't want to give you too much satisfaction but for the record it's not nice putting out 370w and watching someone cruise past you like they're dancing on the pedals! :headshake:

I have a feeling yesterdays flyer took its toll on you Bill.

You mean like breedon did, dancing past us both like we were lugging weights?

When you pulled away I noticed you slowed on anything over 10% and if I hit 370 plus on those I got closer to you. So I had to try and limit your advantage on shallower slopes as much as possible which hurt! It was one of those rare occasions where I got it just right overtaking you on the last 13/14% at 400w plus and then just tried to ensure I got some distance before the gradient eased and you tried to come back at me. My HR barely touched 151 on my earlier ride but was between 160 and 174 racing you!
The realty is I had a weight advantage but it looks like even that is slowly being eroded too. Well done mate:thumbsup:

This looks like one of those hill climbs where the foolish kill themselves before the hill even kicks in. That's me screwed...
i committed bikeocide - caught up with Bob - saw that it kept on going up for 4 miles :stop: just thought - i've done a very stupid thing - then bailed . no excuses - well- knee hurt a bit , shed door blew shut and i was cooking and i forgot my drink so a few excuses but main one is i was a silly billy

That's right.... I truly have a middle age tummy :mrpig:

Considering that one is a teenager until 20 and the current UK male life expectancy is 79 then your are:
1. A young man from 20 to 39
2. Middle aged from 40 to 59
3. An old man from 60 onwards
I therefore also have a 'middle aged tummy'.
Sadly some of us don't and they know who they are.
Apologies for outing the 'old men' amongst us but long may you ride as you are also our brothers.

Edit: Here's hoping for a swift rise in UK male life expectancy so that I never become 'old'.

My dress sense these days is whatever fits and a lot of things that don't!

If that is because you have lost weight then that is know the 'relaxed fit' and is still fashionable but if it's because you have gained weight then your clothes become a 'skinny fit' which is still fashionable.
Personally I hedge my bets nowadays and opt for the slim fit so that I can remain within the margins of fashion.

Did any one have blue numbers for there goat ride? i had a few only way to get rid of them was trying even harder. TT was catching me up with about 8 seconds between us and buried my self to get a way.
Will redo the ride again to see if the blue numbers are there.

If it goes above roughly 10% you will get blue numbers, it is unlikely that you can ride through them (it's just a feature of the way the BSim works) as theoretically you are going too slow for the Turbo to generate more resistance so the SW simply reduces your indicated speed until the slope goes back down below the 'blue number' threshold which may differ dependant on weight.

27 minutes and you're going to reride it?! Wow. l think I'll be happy with twice that.
