The talk of increasing Vo2 Max the other day got me to thinking (a dangerous state of affairs at any time). I have an incredibly dull and minor condition called Raynaud's syndrome (or sometimes Raynaud's Phenomenon however I can't call it that without adding nah nah nee nah nah afterwards). This feeble problem basically causes the blood vessels to go into a temporary spasm affecting blood flow with the outcome being that extremities like fingers and toes get cold and go a deathly share of white (so in summary I get cold hands and feet).
I waddled down the corridor and checked with a colleague of mine today who specialises in sports medicine to see if I could blame this for being crap at sport. Apparently in some ways yes because my body will be inefficient whilst that his happening at transporting oxygen. She did say however that it is less of a problem than me being a fat biffer. Of course at this point I proceeded to club her to death with the large Toblerone I was scoffing so only the first part of her message should be relied upon.
I therefore laugh in the face of your gammy knee @bobinski I have a proper excuse and it is a syndrome so I require a disabled parking bay at the start of all Bkool races. @gbrown please take my debilitating phenomenon (nah nah nee nah nah) into account when working out the handicap in the future, I believe a dispensation to use a mobility scooter in uphill races only seems fair.
