Really not too tough at that speed DP. Nice little recovery ride though and it had to be done if I'm to complete the goat league. Looking forward to the You have been beaten by @Whorty ;)
Thanks for the road messages:smile:.
Just looking at your power, you really did trundle up there! I have 2 goats to do now .... hoping to do a bit of riding between Xmas and New Year. Not sure i'll get more than one ride this week though due to work

Well, well...
I rode a velodrome session in prep for another go at Stage one. Changed tyres. Despite/because of yesterday's rides and tyre I was flying. 5th fastest overall on a 5k in the velodrome ^_^ but then the ride began to freeze/ drop. Nearly bailed from another go at the stage but started and despite a much better start screen froze with me in front. It unfroze as Berty came by and then froze again so I dropped out. Probably not bkools fault- more likely connection my end. Still I might have bettered my time. Roll on Tuesday.

Made a couple of small adjustment to my saddle and post and its made a big difference al ready.

LIVING THE DREAM
To come second, just by a few meters, dressed like that and holding your phone in the 'I can't get any reception position' you would have to be feeling fit!

Just went through Pep Tache 15 pages of friends, and at 24 friends per page that's approaching 300.
You would have thought one of them would have told him that his turbo is showing some ridiculous stats!
Ryan, are you tuned in?
Your on page 13 in your UJ Top.
Drop the man a line and tell him to get his turbo sorted or get one that's can sport the latest firmware so he can be held back like the rest of us.

OK, did the winter stage 1 again and was about 5 seconds in the lead when I needed to get off and attach power cable to pc. Fortunately downhill so only lost about 5 seconds. I must have knocked the bkool power cable which must have stopped it working and lead to higher power than it should have had over the next section but then had to get off to reattach. It meant I still had about 5 second advantage.
I reckon that pep is easily beatable on this stage even without the gains or losses I had.

Just to prove that I could still beat pep without pc
/bkool issues, I've just done it again after a 15 minute rest and beat the previous time by about 2 seconds.

All I can therefore say is.... Pep....

The Winter league for the first leg is going to be littered with Team Cyclechat  I suspect the good climbers with high W/Kg will dominate this league
