Just wanted you all to know I was supporting Cycle Chat.
I feking hurt though, these short blasts have never been my forte.
Just to consolidate the pain I did stage 1 of the Goats straight after.
To be honest it made holding 350 watts feel easy then halfway through Stig appeared and slowly but surely road through Breedon and then me.
I just could not stay with him so I had to settle with a steady pace and recovered a bit before the end and had another dig but to no avail he was too far away.

i found the stig all ways digs deep for the line at around 2-1.5 miles, so soon as he starts to go for it i try and match him, i had over a minute and 20 on stage 3 of the goat league and he got it to 18 seconds in the end:wacko:.

To be honest in the middle on the over 10% slog where the speed goes blue I was getting about 12 kph for 4.8 watts/kg and Stig was going 1 kph faster fro about 4.4 watts/kg.
I see Stig rides a Classic so there could be a difference as to how the FW/SW react, well that's my excuse and I had knackered myself a bit doing the Winter Cup Stage.

My replacement bkool pro has gone back to wiggle for a refund. I then hope to get the Kickr snap. I know it might put me at a disadvantage in the leagues but having had two bkool fail on me with the same fault I wanted something different. I'm not very competitive in the leagues anyway so nothing ventured....

That's a shame kip, hopefully you have more luck with the kickr. I'm thinking of getting a new trainer myself but I think I'll get a power meter first.

I think you're being too modest with regards your competitiveness too. You've always been nearer the top of the leagues when you're in one piece!

Great run from AAAC in stage 1 winter cup. That's 5 cyclechat members in the top 10!

I went off a bit quick DP but better that than miss the the jump.
I backed off a bit and we joined up, yourself, Pep, Jacob and AN other.
I was trying to take some drafts and then on one downhill section quite early on a let a gap appear in front of me and yourself, Pep and Jacob were off.
I tried closing the gap on the next rise and missed again and had to let off on the next descent. This happened a few times.
At one point I was only 6 seconds off of Jacob but just didn't make the gap, blimming annoying!

These runs are all about watts and although I made 5.88 W/kg my 470 watts was no match for Jacobs 513 and whatever you did.

Pep came in at 6.4 W/kg but I still suspect his stats.
He frequently beat 70 kph going uphill and all the other front runners, including yourself didn't get than going downhill.
Some of these uphill sprints coincide with 800 to 900 watt power spikes which even Jacob was not kicking out.
Throw in a few 70 kph 'sprints' and big power spikes and you average speed and watts get knocked up quite a bit.

We all saw this with the old Pro-Slings and it looks like he is still getting them or has discovered how to 'play the game' in a way none of us have.

By the way your faster runs are not showing in the league.
Not surprised the one with the flat watts and speed isn't there though as that is suspect and as you said was all about the power lead coming out.

I might have another go but first I want to see how I get on with the subsequent rides as this stage was not something I enjoyed.

That's a bit 'cabbage crates over the briny' old chap but thanks.
I'll be sure to get in the hurt locker for the next stage and try and blow the competition away.
However that might not happen knowing the competition.
Jacob and DP are my nemesis,I am going to ignore Pep.

I second that, here is to proper cyclist's who go outside and hit the real boards as well.

In the grand scheme, you've done a very good time and probably better saving energy for the other rides. I found the rest time made a huge difference. I'll see if the others do a faster time and will then go again if necessary!

I don't think thee was an energy saving tactic involved but I suppose not doing it again could be counted as one.

I do prefer the live Cycle Chat runs though, that's proper racing rather than ghost chasing.

PS: it's all about middlefart to middlefart on Thursday this week and me trying to take a whole minute out of you.
I don't think that's going to happen though.

I'll need to stop half way around to break wind though...

Didn't know that riding any stages in any league could be anything to possibly enjoy
