LIVING THE DREAM
Didn't know that riding any stages in any league could be anything to possibly enjoy

I find working out your tactics on the hoof enjoyable but 8.5 miles at max chat doesn't get too tactical.

PS: I did 42 miles all told tonight on my turbo which a little more than usual.
That's what happens when HID goes out and doesn't need a lift.

I agree, the tactics make it fun... you never know how the other riders are feeling, are they holding something back or are they as exhausted as you feel. I pretty much conceded that you would win in the last run towards the end, only for you to tell me afterwards that you were fighting to hang on to your lead. Also, the final sprint with Bill was great fun, I really maxed out so much so that I had to have a lie down on the dining room floor an hour later due to exhaustion (I say have a lie down but pretty much collapsed and passed out!)

I had this happen to me on consecutive Saturdays after lengthy bkooling sessions. Very disturbing when you don't understand what is happening. I'd bonked for the first time and learnt my lesson. I now have a gel or immediately eat something after my longer, harder sessions.

@gbrown - I don't know if anyone's already pointed this out but I noticed last night that Bkool do appear to have finally fixed the password glitch AND they have put the elapsed time on the screen where you enter the password.

I haven't yet been able to check whether you can still see the elapsed time after you've input the password but before you click "no" to join as was previously the case though. Good news for the handicap rides!

hi Guys, have been 'following' this group for a few months now but felt compelled to make my first post and offer Congratulations to Daddy Pig on his recent achievement, well done!, also to all the other members for their efforts both in the BKool Winter Cup and the M.G. and C.G. rides. I would kindly ask that you consider this post also as a request to join your esteemed company, Mountain Goats and Chain Gang. I do however have a few confessions that might influence your decision, 1. In my day i might have been considered a Yuppy. 2. I have no injuries to speak of other than a hernia, had 2 knee ops, broken arm etc. so you can be sure i won't seek an unfair unadvantage, (unless it's offered ;) ) 3. Wrong side of 60 but right side of 70. Best wishes

My subscription runs until Feb and they've offered me 1 month free if I take another year. I'm going to hang on to see if the offers get getter the closer I get to March.
Mine expired in Feb as well as it happens. They just sent me the one month offer which I took, and it's added a month to my current subscription - no need to renew for another year to get it. Seems they're offering different things to different people

The next Handicap Chase is Tin Can Ten Time Trial

Next run is 8pm (plus Start Time) tonight, Tuesday 20th December 2016.

Start Times (Handicaps) are as follows... (when underway time equals or exceeds the given Start Time).

If anyone else wants to take part, can they let us know a competitive time for the stage, or failing that their fitness level and who they usually finish close to.
