I can only make a morning run on Thursday for the chaingang stage 5 as away until the new year so this may set a target for aaac. Now that's in doubt after tearing back muscles picking my 3 year old up yesterday evening and spending the night awake and in agony. The only pain relief/muscle relaxant I can find today so far is a bottle of wine, copious amounts of rum with the Xmas pud and about a quadruple brandy. Not bad for lunch... what's for tea...Well, I managed a good Chaingang stage 3 time. I was about 10 seconds behind AAAC but in front of the other big shots when we hit the last bump. As predicted that last bump was going to give me trouble, and it did. I ended up 18 seconds behind Bridgy.
It going to be an interesting Chaingang finish.
I think DP and AAAC is pretty safe at 1st & 2nd.
3rd is probably going to Bridgy (if he doesn't run out of time), but I predict that 4th is going to be a close battle between me Bill and Andy. I may loose some time at the "hilly" 4th stage, but 5th looks like it's packing a lot of flat and downhill sections.
Too true Andy. I'm Black Country born and bred and as a bab I spoke pure Black Country. Left the area at 18 so the accent has gone, as has my use of slang (when I first moved out of the area I had to lose the slang as no one could understand me!) but I can still understand it when I go back to see my family. Here's a link to a bit of Black Country slang for those interested (they say that the Black Country language is the closest we have left in England to old English ... not sure how true that is)Tommy that's London speak. Wait till Randy hears 'Yorkshire'. Welsh, Midlands, Somerset
