That should work. The only obvious way is to fit it and see if derailleur clears the 34t cog, it can be adjusted with 'b' screw and also is chain long enough. That's what I do try first, the n sort out why it doesn't work. My new bike Shimano only recommend 38t on the crank but I wanted just a little more so fitted a 40t chainring. What I'm saying is bike specifications can be stretched a little
