The World's is a one day race.
How many proven one day racers do we have, excluding sprinters?
That's for the RR.
As for the TT he is the reigning National Champion.

I think it's a bit odd he hasn't been selected. Genuine threat on his day, plus bags of experience to pass on. Maybe it's just down to perceived form.

Cummings was originally selected for the ITT but said he didn't want to do it as he hadn't prepared for it.

Because they didn't ask him until the last minute

I wish, I scoured the shelf in Tesco's and wine has got really expensive now, barely a £4.50 bargain on the shelf now.
So I went for a £9.00 Penfolds off of the top shelf.
There is logic in there somewhere,
So now the last bit of WiskEy left in the cupboard is looking good but is harder to disguise in a wine glass than the Sloe Gin that I saw off last Friday.
Swigging Gin in wine sized proportions, not good for the Saturday re-run.

The WiskEy won by the way.
Had a belting sleep mind
Until 09 30!
Haven't slept that long since I was in barracks.

No idea of the details of timings and who said what to who... but, nevertheless, he was the original ITT selection.

As to the RR, I guess they would have to take a bit of a chance with him, what side of the bed he got out of on the day, would he work for anyone else etc... a bit of a high maintenance sort of character but I agree it does seem that communication by British Cycling hasn't been the best. Worth taking a chance on him??? I'd say probably yes as I can't see anyone in the current lineup doing much.

Can I test the water for stages of the October chaingang? Who is up for all stages being descents? Alpe and mont vonteux are on bkool and I'm sure others are too

My logic is this could really even out the league for a month and make the GC really close. You have to spin really hard on the descents so still a good workout.

Rubbish idea?!? Or an interesting exercise?
I'm happy to give this a go. If nothing else it should help the results to be totally different from the usual.

Most of the above are above or very near 20 minutes (apart from the last one) for my simulated gravity assist sessions that I use for my cool downs. All have video (of varying quality).

There are a few that are longer, but they have shallower descents :headshake:.

Yes I will try to fit these in, although sometimes the route selector struggles to find even well known routes when setting up the league. One or two per week?
