The climbs are tough but there's much more downhill than uphill. It could be close between you and me.![]()

Well done Paul. You were streets ahead!Well done all!
I wonder when (if?) we'll see those rides in the league table?! In fact I've just sent bkool an email to query why the league isn't updating - I will let you know what they say.....
Hard luck - glad the wheel's ok!Well that was disappointing - chain came off on the second climb and bent my rear mech into the spokes. Wheel looks ok, but mech won't be the same again.
New one ordered through Amazon prime, so hopefully I can have another crack before the league ends on 29th.
TB - what happened to you on the second climb, as I had about 50 seconds on you at the start of the climb, and you shot past me and gained a quick 30 seconds on me in no time at all. I managed to catch you and get ahead, so I think it would have been a close finish with the long descent coming into play.

That's the reverse of the dead stop. If I time the gear changes just right I can surf an imposible speed wave, at a high cadence, until I drop down to what the speed really should be, at a relatively low resistance. At the correct speed for the slope/power/weight the correct resistance kicks in then I'm really in the poo. Change too early and the speed falls off a cliff (the wheels slows too much), too late and the resistance catches up too quickly and I end up grinding.Well that was disappointing - chain came off on the second climb and bent my rear mech into the spokes. Yes, I worked hard to pull your ghost back, but the little lumps at the end was just too much for me. As your ghost passed me I just gave up and soft pedaled the last 500 metres. I tried to get on your wheel on the last climb but went into the red and just couldn't make up the last few seconds. As I started suffering you started to pull away, and the few seconds turned into a lead of 1 minute as we crested the hill. Well done @BILL SWell done Paul. You were streets ahead!
Sorry @Whorty, I was watching as you slowly hauled in my ghost and then eventually passed it just at the bottom of the hill. Unfortunately I had put in quite an effort on that last little hill so it looked like the ghost passed you again and probably made it stick. Not that I saw that bit.
A bit of both to be honest. Had I gone past @BILL S ghost and made it stick I may have stayed the distance, but I just couldn't make it stick and my legs were shot! Bill too strong for me and you destroyed usI was watching you chasing down Bill at the end there @Whorty - thought you might do it too but it looked like you gave up or ran out of puff eventually?
I thought all the BKool trainers had been updated to the FE-C ... didn't realise they hadn't updated the Classics. Bit sh1tty of them when you've paid all that dosh. I wouldn't worry about using the 'feature' though, I love seeing you fly up those hillsThat's the reverse of the dead stop. It's one of the quirks of a classic on old non fe-c firmware. I don't have the power or fitness to make the most of it though. Also, to be honest, I don't like using it in CG sesions as it seems like cheating. Had thouse climbs been shorter I proably would not have.
Sorry to hear about the mechanical![]()
I warmed up for a few miles on Zwift too actually - I was going to do a race on there but the trainer wouldn't pair properly - I hope just a glitchA bit of both to be honest. May not have helped that I did an 8 mile warm up on Zwift first though![]()
