Strava estimated power!Either his power meter was not calibrated or he was riding a TT bike. With 225 watt I avg. 18 mph on my commuter with all the winter equipment.

Ahh, that explains it. Strava winter watts are way off.Strava estimated power!

I used to use a trainer tyre but switched for conti all season and they are definitely faster.
His ghost was chosen Thursday too but I didn't see him once on the race. I went over the finish line first, only to see in the standings that he and Jacob had actually beaten me! The ghosts are all to cock at the moment.
Conti gp’s are the best tyre I used I think. Although sometimes it feels like you have more grip than others. I saw them for £30 online somewhere the other day which is pretty good isn’t it? I mean, not cheap, but not bad for conti gp.

If he's able to keep that pace in a winter solo ride and he only weighs 55kg, then he must be a phenomenal climber. I'm guessing well above 5 watt/kg?
That's 2/3 nights of fun(AAAC) as opposed to ~30 nights![]()

Well I've just done CG1 again, improved my time by 1m 32s and got three red crosses again, so I'd appreciate it if you could validate my ride again.
As @berty bassett said above, I'm assuming its my weight change that is causing this. It would be useful if there was some way on Bkool of validating a weight change, like a big set of virtual Bkool scales or something. I'm guessing that making a change during a league may be a bigger problem than doing it before a league, but that's just a guess and nothing else.
The ghosts and bots were all over the place. I think I challenged @Jim Brown but never saw him during the ride. @BILL S and @AAAC 76C got added automatically. It looked like @BILL S had stayed on the start line as the placings during the ride said he was 5 hours behind me...... but he actually finished 5 minutes ahead of me. I did see @AAAC 76C. He overtook me with an impressive sideways riding manoeuvre, and then disappeared into the distance! I had 4 lapdog bots. Never saw 2 of them and the other 2 sometimes rode together, but most of the time 1 was with me and the other was further up the road!
Still, an improved time and I'll continue my dull experiments by swapping back to the Conti tyres next, leaving a nice pile of black rubber on the garage floor instead of the red rubber coming off the Vitorrias!
Are you sure you were not cycling sideways Jim.I enjoy just completed a ride this morning with a couple of ghosts and bits for company. As you say, the ghosts are ridiculous to say the least. Not only did I pass both only for one to apparently finish before me, but get this - they were actually cycling sideways.. sideways .... really? I had to get past them as they were completely putting me off.
Good news is my programmed rides are back.![]()
Even with perfect summer conditions that would be stretching it.That power for that speed works about right for a sub 65 kg rider on a 6 kg bike according to 'Bike Calculator' an I assume Strava uses a similar algorithm.

Perhaps a few too many last night
Still can't see my programmed rides so can't challenge anyone. Tried to do the add to favourites trick, but this didn't work and the ride is not availableI enjoy just completed a ride this morning with a couple of ghosts and bits for company.
