Well that didn't go as planned after all the earlier 'excitement' - couldn't get a network connection in the garage, so couldn't make it.

Need to get a backup plan sorted, but I don't normally have internet issues.
I wondered where you'd gone - was looking forward to riding with you

A good 34 minutes of pain again.
thanks to @Add for helping out in the midsection (although we probably need to train a bit on the overtaking ^_^) and to @gbrown for giving me the perfect handicap :okay:
I thought I really nailed that finsih! But it turns out I was the only one racing...or at least knowingly  . So a special thanks to @bert1971 for not putting up a fight the last few hundred meters and letting me take it home (I was kinda wondering why you let that one go when you just had made a good effort to catch me back).
Apparently I didn't shave that many seconds from my personal record on that stage... I'm just sayin'.

Looks like I'll be missing the chain gang tonight....I've just taken a tumble on my commute home. Bike slipped out from under me when taking a corner.

Finger looks bust and I can't change gear!

Bike is okay though!
xx( BTDT on a dry ski slope. It was my thumb though, full on compound fracture, spent a night in hospital:B)

How did the Kickr feel on the route today?

Tried to stay with you at the start, but it seemed like one of us either went off the front or fell back enough to stop any proper draft going.

Just decided to try and ride at an even pace then

Can’t be dealing with that anymore.
Ethernet cable bought will be run to the man cave this weekend.

I'll be doing the same soon. Powerline and wifi just doesn't seem reliable enough at the distance I have between the router and the Powerline outlet.

Got an electrician to run the cable while he's doing some other socket work that I need

! do wish handicaps wouldn't get revised late in the day, I get in wit 10 minutes to the start, by the time I've changed, set the new laptop (works) up in the shed the warmups underway ... Join, and wait for @Whorty , although he appeared to disappear. Oh well never mind, shame he had to bail after all the trash talk  Did my usual solo TT until caught by @JJRobinson, who was gracious enough to give me a good tow until past half way, @AAAC 76C and @bridgy were a blur as they went past, and it wasn't until the final 5K I suddenly discovered whorty had started earlier :evil: Couldn't let that stand, so picked up the pace, and quickly put it down again  caught him with 1.5Km to go ^_^ And it was goodbye from @Aleman :cycle::cycle::cycle::cycle::cycle:
I fixed the belt on the Kickr so went back to original slow time ..... would have been a different result had i been on the Pro :ninja: (probably )

On the Kickr I lose time as the road ramps up .... I don't get the same fairy dust momentum. So I was having to work really hard to try and stay with you but then blew up  Spent what little of the race was left watching @BILL S drag me back :surrender: Thankfully the road ran out for him

Drafting still to be practiced by me! I kept losing touch with you on the slight rises, having to work and push over 300 watts just to stay with you. A good workout and knocked 20 seconds off my Kickr PB and set an average of 250 watts over the 40 minutes so again quite pleased with that

Hope you all had a good ride tonight.
I have been having trouble navigating around the website and have been unable to schedule rides. It would take forever to load ghosts and then when I went to details it would just take me back to my profile. If I just tried to schedule without ghosts it would say I had scheduled an event but it wouldn't show anywhere in either scheduled rides or on the sim. I have discovered that by using Edge as the browser instead of chrome everything works perfectly. i don't know why but frankly (my dear) I don't give a damn! Just in case anybody is having similar problems using chrome.

I use Chrome and have similar problems (have done now for about a year). If I want to schedule rides, add ghosts etc, I have to fire up IE where it all seems to work fine. Bkool programmers really are numpties!
