Not really fair to blame BKool for the differences in operation of browsers .... as a, now ex, developer trying to account for all the different 'standards' of the browsers is bloody difficult. Quite a lot of suppliers just develop for one browser, and refuse to accept any support issues if you use a different browser. FWIW IE is one of the worst browsers for not complying with any industry 'standards'. Edge and IE are two browsers I won't useI use Chrome and have similar problems (have done now for about a year). If I want to schedule rides, add ghosts etc, I have to fire up IE where it all seems to work fine. Bkool programmers really are numpties!
Shouldn't their testers test their website on the common browsers to ensure the main functionality works? When I've built a website that's what I did, and I'm not a professional developer, just a hobbyist. Not really fair to blame BKool for the differences in operation of browsers .... as a, now ex, developer trying to account for all the different 'standards' of the browsers is bloody difficult. Yes Perswe, enjoyed that middle section, until I blew up. The drafting was useful, but so is the psychological benefit. My competitive streak kept me snapping at your heels for as long as I could sustain it.A good 34 minutes of pain again.
thanks to @Add for helping out in the midsection (although we probably need to train a bit on the overtaking) and to @gbrown for giving me the perfect handicap
I thought I really nailed that finsih! But it turns out I was the only one racing...or at least knowingly. So a special thanks to @bert1971 for not putting up a fight the last few hundred meters and letting me take it home (I was kinda wondering why you let that one go when you just had made a good effort to catch me back).
Apparently I didn't shave that many seconds from my personal record on that stage... I'm just sayin'.
I tried so hard to hang on to you both as you came by but just couldn't keep the speed up. Legs were well shot by then!Yes Perswe, enjoyed that middle section, until I blew up. I rather enjoyed that session tbh, but it won't last, as Geoff starts tightening the handicap screws.
Interesting!Drafting still to be practiced by me! I kept losing touch with you on the slight rises, having to work and push over 300 watts just to stay with you. A good workout and knocked 20 seconds off my Kickr PB and set an average of 250 watts over the 40 minutes so again quite pleased with that![]()
For the last year I've been using an Apple mini and haven't had any of the problems others seem to have. The only problem is I can't try Rouvy. I know it sounds like first world problems. Like @LBHIFI having to unpair from his car. I fixed the belt on the Kickr so went back to original slow time ..... would have been a different result had i been on the Pro(probably
)
On the Kickr I lose time as the road ramps up .... I don't get the same fairy dust momentum. So I was having to work really hard to try and stay with you but then blew upSpent what little of the race was left watching @BILL S drag me back
Thankfully the road ran out for him
Ouch!
Did you pop it back?
Don’t be too hasty with my handicap @gbrown im guessing my flirting in and out was pushing me further each timeOk, sorry for the delay but here are the corrected results (Actual Moving Time + Allocated Start Time)
As everyone started pretty close to their allocated Start Times it is the same as the finish on the road, but @bert1971 and @AAAC 76C would have been side by side crossing the line, not that Bert would have noticed!

Being slower isn't frustrating. One of the joys of the handicap races is having people to race against. Definitely harder work on the KICKR, but longer term that has to be a good thing. Legs definitely know I've been in a race!Interesting!
My average Bkool power was 226W and normalised was 237W at 2.8W/kg.
Just looked at your stats and your average was 244W at 2.9W/kg.
So you seem to be pushing higher watts but on a rough estimate were about a minute slower than me tonight, whereas on the Bkool your best time is about 3 minutes faster than mine.
Power certainly looks good. Does it feel like a more natural ride than Bkool or is the slower time frustrating?
