I wouldn’t worry about it mate. Safely assume a very high proportion of people’s FTP is from sessions effected by fairy dust. The more you use BKOOL the higher the chances. Even if you intentionally lower your ranking it’ll go up again as soon as you get more of the special treatment. I personally maintained a pro ranking all last year even though I attained it via a generous sprinkling, and didn’t use the turbo from early March until a few weeks ago. I’m pretty sure the ftp is supposed to be recalculated and down graded through lack of activity so...

Having a different coloured hat doesn’t give you a performance advantage either so it’s just one of those things.
Huhumm.....just like to say my FTP score is based entirely on a solid foundation of scientifically accumulated data and statistically accurate test results, with only a light splattering of BS

The (BKool) world is against me today  Stage 12, I'm 6km in and have thoroughly warmed up so stop to remove tights ... BSIM decides not to recognise the trainer! I know now that I should have unplugged and plugged in teh ANT dongle, but in my oxygen deprived panic I killed the session :cry: Restarted stage 12 and completed it. ... 17KM into stage 13 (The hilly one from Chepstow) and my laptop shuts down and won't play anymore :cry:

Time to take the spare (read 'work') laptop down there and give it a damn good thrashing!!:boxing::boxing::boxing:

Several bits of advice could be passed on there but the major one is to wear stockings, they are a lot easier to remove on the go.

She may not be as young as AAAC's pictures nor as photogenic, obviously I'm not talking about the tandem here but she stokes like the fireman on the flying scotsman trying to get home asap.

When descending, sometimes the speed value turns blue?[/QUOTE]
One thing I've found out is that if you surf the blue going downhill by just turning the pedals but producing almost no watts I think it will add time to your ride.

The Flying Scotsman was a train service, which started in 1862, leaving Kings cross for Edinburgh at 10AM each day, several trains of the Atlantic class actually pulled the service, before being replaced with the A1 class designed by Sir Nigel Gressley, of which 4472 "Flying Scotsman" was only one ;)

Did you know that the limiting factor on the Mallards speed runs was the fireman. They had to shift a tonne of coal an hour at full speed ... that's a lot f'coal

Unfortunately when the Mallard set her, unbeaten, world speed record for a steam train, they hit maximum speed just before a 40MPH part of the track, In trying to get her to slow down the driver broke the brakes, and caused major damage to the running gear.

Sorry ... train nerd

We still have crap railway lines but the only thing that has changed else wise is now the trains are crap as well.

And I thought the flying Scotsman was @BILL S...

@Aleman .
I just rode your 50 mile Birks Brow video. Very nice. I liked catching and passing the other riders. It seldom happens in real life. Also that antique car was cool.
One of @gbrown videos had you passing other riders going up a climb and it takes a few minutes to realize it doesn't matter how fast you're riding you're always going to pass them. There was the opposite on a weird kind of on/off road race where @LBHIFI passes you on the video no matter how fast you ride.

On Friday I started the 28 mile Crumbleholme video but got called into work. That's twice so that route is jinxed.
Thanks again. I'll try some of your others next week.

Birks Brow is nice, Just that one short sharp climb, which the BKool Video Editor doesn't do it justice, as it's actually 16% in places

Crumbleholme is one to watch out for it's actually 18% in places IRL, before you ease off, and then it kicks again to 14%. ... That route also includes Birks Brow again. Funny story with Crumbleholme, that video is only the second time I've done it. The first time was two years earlier, after I had just got back into cycling, it didn't go well, I had to walk for a part of it, when you make the left turn at the top you assume that because the road you join is flat it continues flat ... Nope it ramps to 10% ... I got less than 50 yards up that and was going to slow, tried to unclip and the bike and I fell over ... My bidon jumped out of the cage, and rolled down the hill ... and down crumbleholme with me in hot pursuit in cleats. .... Not funny at the time.

Here is the raw-ish video of the Crumbleholme climb

Seems the leagues aren't updating again, Saturdays reruns don't seem to have registered in the either the overall or the stage.. As this month isn't as critical as last, can we wait a few days, say Thursday morning, to see if it has sorted itself out before instigating another spreadsheet. I don't mind managing it but would prefer not to if it's not necessary.

damn it! I thought I made it perfectly clear to the bkool team..."delay, delay, delay...just like you normally do". :cursing:
I was hoping I could avoid having to try again to take back my Thursday position....well, I suppose I can still of course simply not do it and save me the pain
