Ok, but how about if the host of the route has wind selected to on then would it stay on? Just curious

Yes, like any other ride, it is the one who starts the session who decides, if "Real weather" or "Wind" is enabled. Best to disable "Real weather", as riding in the dark or poor weather is not very pleasant, even if it is all virtual. But sometimes the host/racemaster forgets to do so.

There's a thing. How do you decide which routes to use in the league. Is a previously rode one or one from Bkool?
I usually look for routes that suit everybody so some climbing but generally flattish and are between 20 and 40 minutes in length. I often screw up though, like last month's winlatter killer. They need to be at least 3D. That said next month each ride has its own characteristics and I'm thinking of starting with a theme beginning in December... Bet you all can't wait!

To me this is clear evidence that whoever makes these decisions does not use the system much themselves! Why would the majority of users who migrate indoors to avoid the dark weather want to ride in darkness indoors? An hour or so staring at a barely lit screen is unlikely to appeal to many, the default should clearly be to ride in daylight (IMHO).

Having said that, maybe a good idea for me, as it would stress my vision less!

Thinking of ordering that KICKR 2018 + Climb this week and giving it a try, but venturing outside again today. The missus went out at about 3C this morning, but I'm waiting until it reaches around 9C! :cold:

That's what I've always thought too about the real weather button.

November league looking very interesting even though it's not live yet. Hoping to put more effort into this months league and try to get more fit for the winter. I think 3 sessions a week should do it.

The RealWeather (TM) was a unique feature back in the day for the Bkool Simulator, as well as RealWind. These days Zwift also changes the weather (but if it is synchronized with the REAL weather for that location (London, Innsbruck etc.) I don't know). But you CAN'T turn that feature off in Zwift!
Wind should be coming soon I think, together with the steering option being enabled on paved roads too. Then you would have to steer your avatar to suck Wheels, positioning in crosswinds etc.

Long post, go put the kettle on!

Guys, the end of one month the beginning of another so a couple of things.
I think October was a good month for the league, we grew in numbers (26 active participants by the end) though following @BILL S advice I have removed the two members who didn’t contribute here and about whom we had doubts about the veracity of their results. The stats are that in October 8 of us did all 4 stages, 7 did 3 stages, 9 people 2 and 2 just the one stage(I factored in me misleading three people by starting the wrong route for stage 4!). This gives us a participation level of 70% which I think is pretty high and in no small way helped by the chat and banter here.
Looking forward to October there are two things to mention. As already noted the rides (5) for this month are slightly different in that they each have a specific characteristic, flat, rolling, downhill, climb. We will all do better on some than others but hopefully the effect will be evened out of the 5 stages
The other new things is the introduction of teams!!! I had contacted bkool about this feature as I knew nothing about it, but it was telling me I couldn’t use the feature while a league was in progress.Of course bkool gave me a reply that didn’t answer the question. However, today as I had inadvertently created a league free day when I clicked on the tab by chance I was able to create teams!
I have created 5 teams of 3 from the 15 of us who regularly contribute here, trying to get equality in terms of overall level in each team, so no AAAC you can’t be in a team with Brus and Bill! This might be crap, but it might be fun, it might also be motivating…you're not just letting yourself down now if you don’t do a session but your wonderful team mates! It might also open up the possibility of a team time trail stage! It didn’t take me that long so if it works great and if not no biggy! As new actively contributing people join, or old friends return I’ll amend the teams, transfers can be arrange and I’m open to bribes! One consequence is that there will in future always be one day (the first Monday) between leagues to allow for league maintenance. I’m still chasing bkool about the various things you’ve raised including me being able top contact league participants directly to try to get them involved here, there’s a data protection problem but I’m sure we can find a work around. I’ll keep you informed of any developments.
Hope you enjoy November’s league as much as I think we all enjoyed October, stage 1 should be available tomorrow.

Sorry slightly off subject.. @Marco72 you beat me by 30 seconds on the @Bored Man stage 6 ride.. ONLY because I was riding in the rain.. I took it easy on the corners so I wouldn’t wipe out.

Edit: thanks Keith for the work on this! Any team that is looking to recruit me can contact my agent.
