Hello chaps.

Was I doing the right course tonight because I had problems finding the right session. I joined Up and down in west wareham, but didn't find it till after the race had started. Typical for me I think. Then with about 5ks or so to go my computer froze and when it decided to wake up I am sure I had lost a couple of places. Not totally convinced though and don't want it to look like I am seeking excuses for a poor ride.
I just can't seem to have a ride when everything seems to work out.
Did anyone see me in their rear view mirror?.

You were in the right ride. At about 18:04 you left it and then rejoined about 30 seconds after it started at 18:10. You then overtook various people, including @shimceltic but I didn't watch until the end as I had to do my share of the driving! It was fun watching though and painting on the road for the team green rep.

Yes, you did find it, but left it again after 10 seconds or so. I didn't see you rejoin, but at the end suddenly you were in my rear view mirror.

Yes, it seems their calculation isn't too sophisticated. Well see what happens when we have data for week two, but on the basis that my intuition about their algorithm is correct I've produced a spreadsheet with a better result, basically my team always wins! I'll share it, and will be happy to keep it updated if we think the idea of teams is worth perusing.

Sorry slightly off subject.. @Marco72 you beat me by 30 seconds on the @Bored Man stage 6 ride.. ONLY because I was riding in the rain.. I took it easy on the corners so I wouldn’t wipe out.

I am curious to ask you tho, whats your reasoning for the Florida State RR 2019 Course tho, cos i got you by that one as well by 8 seconds Bahahaha (note: hoping your enjoying the banter, cos i love a bit of bantering lol)

Still a little frustrating tho, i missed out on the last 2 league rides i had left cos i thought i had one more day than i did, one day ill work out to ride them earlier lol

That Florida route was one of @Bored Man 's routes on his league that looked like not much climbing. When I started the ride I didn't turn off the real weather so it was raining. I used that as my excuse for you beating me as I'm saying I was cautious in the corners.
Looks like you and I are going to be close in these leagues. I didn't start @Bored Man 's rides until too late. But a new month and a new start.

It seems that the team rankings do not take into account team members who have not done the stage and simply aggregates the times of those members of the team that have done the stage, assuming that everybody is going to do all stages. We know this is never the case. The individual league takes non participation in a stage into account and assigns you the slowest time achieved to date on that stage times 1.15 (I think).
I've created a sheet to recreate this formula for our teams. It's not elegant but it is a more accurate reflection of the state of play. When an admin approves a ride in the league they will also manually enter the data into the sheet so that things are always up to date.
Of we like the idea of teams and continue with it in the future then I'll continue with the sheet until bkool buy the intellectual property rights from me to correct their system.

Sorry for not including you in one of the teams for this month's league. I tried to include everybody who contributes here and had missed your posts. Are you able to do either of our group rides, Thursday 19:00 and Saturday 18:00 central European time or are you fast asleep then?
If the teams continue next month I'll add you so you can have more opportunities to get bragging rights over @Randyberlin .
