Only if my captain insists .. then, like a good soldier, I'll go over the top to sacrifice my life for the team
Don't give @microkid ideas, we're already under the lash of the pirate captain!Only if my captain insists .. then, like a good soldier, I'll go over the top to sacrifice my life for the team![]()
I had a quick look tonight for the featured ride, but didn't see any that said Featured so did the Mudock and Crow . Loads of people on there tonight. I was quite a tough one with 2 steady climbs with some steep ramps. Scenery was nice somewhere in Scotland.I'll be doing the Bkool featured ride 6pm uk, I think there is a pro riding that one
Yes i was, spinning out a lot and had microkid chasing me down
Well done Dean. I'm guessing you was working hard on that descent? I found the 'up' less stressful than the 'down'

Oh no - what no downhill - it's going to be a long night.6km at 6/7% ... that's about 35 mins of pain for meThe first 12km at 2% will, I guess, take about 30 mins too, so overall this ride will take me over the hour mark

Having just done stage 3 in the December Dash I have no qualms in shopping @Bored Man as the guilty party. It was very tough. You.know the climb is bad when the next section is 25.3% and it's going to provide you with a bit of relief. Both climbs are tough. The first has about 2 kms at over 20%, hitting 30% at the worst and the second one also has long double digit sections with the last km at about 20%. I notice I'm the only one stupid enough to have done it so far!so returning to the chat, because after my last post saying about getting over being sick turned out to be speaking too soon and ended up sick for another week, but have returned to health now.
which leads me to a question, who the hell is the bright spark thought that Stage 3 was a good idea! cos ill be blunt in that ill probably give it a shot, but im not sure if my body is ready or able to drag itself over those 2 climbs, ill try it, but dunno if my big back side will be able to handle those ones. the others will be fine (even if im not the biggest fan of stage 1b's finish lol) but that stage 3 scares me at this point LOL
Was having a panic then as I thought you were talking the Chain Gang leagueHaving just done stage 3 in the December Dash I have no qualms in shopping @Bored Man as the guilty party. On another pont any chance of youdoing the chaingang league rides ? Your team needs you! There's only you and @AAAC 76C who haven't done the rides. Team rankings are in the google sheet, december tab, referenced in my signature here.
Glad your feeling better, you woon't be if you do stage 3!
Oh, a little, very little panic before tomorrow night would not go amiss especially if you've still only got your big ring !Was having a panic then as I thought you were talking the Chain Gang leagueThankfully no

Prior to riding I can manually force the ring across to the small ring, but then I have to stay in that the whole time (or get off the bike and manually force it back). So if you chose the Alpe etc, I'd be OK, it's the 'flat' into a climb, or a flat after a long steep climb that would bugger me up.Oh, a little, very little panic before tomorrow night would not go amiss especially if you've still only got your big ring !
