Yes that was a tough stage. I was battling with my gears shifting when they weren't supposed to or not shiftiNg. Must remember to adjust the cable.First I thought this was going to be a weak effort, but then i felt pretty good after a few kms. Ended up with my strongest post upgrade effort. Perhaps I should have gone a little bit harder....anyway ...Kudos to me!
Great battle up in the front! @Mark68 you held on almost all the way! I struggled to not loose more than a minute.

I did have to dig deep as I thought Per you would start catching me in the last km like you did a bit ago.
Good ride from Ian, Keith and AAA c. You all smashed it.
Good stage though as there weren't any really nasty 16% or more bits. Although I couldn't believe how long the last km took and then after 7% it went steeper. I do remember saying out loud "your joking" when I saw the grade increase again.
Don't think I'll be able to ride Saturday evening this week.

Stage 2 done and dusted - thanks for the road paint encouragement, it certainly helps when you are out there on your own.
Being a tight pensioner I like to get my monies worth, so why shoot up these little climbs in 30 minutes, when you can get 60 minutes of 'enjoyment' for the same money.

I thought you already retired the amount of cycling you do on strava, unless your work place is a 100km round trip around Spain and france

I had a day on the beer planned tomorrow, saving me from the Saturday repeat. That now seems to be not happening and I may have to struggle up that hill again. Not happy😕
