Do you think the Bkool is under your watts it more realistic now
I know I was always about 300 and then after Bkool updates struggled to do more than 250 on Bkool Pro trainer. The Saris H3 is within 2% of accuracy so for me proves Bkool was understating power, for me anyway.

Hi all, hope you are all well!
I know most feel the app & firmware change in watts on Bkool was probably accurate, but for anyone who thinks their trainer was more affected by the updates than others, have a look at my ride comparison - Same route, same app (Rouvy), same avg HR, same avg cadence. First is on Bkool Pro, second is on Saris H3.
Will have to give it a go on Bkool software now!

No changes in other platforms is my best guess, as the firmware has not been updated on all Pros. Mine ("2017" model) says it is up to date, but I'm stuck at 3.10.
Are you running 3.25 and is it a Pro 1 or 2?

I sympathise with you as I've been struggling to make decent power ever since the update a year or so ago. I do kind of assume that it was too generous before and now probably accurate. I notice some seem less affected than me, but I'm also aware that I didn't keep my fitness up the past year or two so probably a lot to do with that.

Yeah it's the updated software for me. Very close to reality now. They have done a pretty good job of finding g the sweet spot between strong healthy weight riders and those of us with an extra 20 pounds. Or more.

Thanks for the reply Bill - Yes, I would have assumed the same had it not been for crank pedal meter so I knew on road I was putting out way more. I guess it is good that majority feel it is more accurate now, just a shame for few whose trainers were already accurate!

Questions for the technical wizard @Brusgaard

Just got a nice new lenovo laptop with 8gb of ram and a nice ryzen 7 processor, which goes much much faster than the old one which was nearly six years old, lets hope the effect holds through to bkool ! So far so good, bkool installed and working and I have two questions concerning using it for bkool so far if you wouldn't mind sharing yoiur knowledge:
1. Will running it on battery rather than mains power affect the graphics or the user experience in any negative way and
2. Bluetooth or ant+ as the connection to my pro?

Thx as ever for your time and wisdom

Congrats on the new PC!

Yes, running on battery will lower the performance and you risk running out of power during the longer races! Most laptops are designed to last a long time on battery, and the only way to do that is throttle the CPU/GPU when there is no need for them to perform. In a game (i.e. BSIM) the GPU and CPU will be taxed 99% of the time, which requires cooling and therefore even more battery power.

Never used BT, only ANT+. If ANT+ is/was stable I would continue using that. No need to experiment in this serious business!

Keith, I think I use the ant+ as I had to see the trainer in that mode to try Zwiff. I never bothered with zwiff in the end but kept my settings as they are.
