Me and macca did the honourable thing and self isolated at the back of the race

So much that you weren't even visible on my screen. Saw you join and later on leave. I thought you 2 were neck and neck, and I that was the reason I couldn't see your icon on the profile.

Had I seen you, I might have rode a bit faster, but I probably didn't want to wreck my knees/bike/trainer more than I already had anyway...

I did wonder in the last kms why you slowed, makes sense if you thought you where safe behind and no point pushing as nobody near infront

I give up my starter responsibility I'm having no luck recently. I saw your all join, get a count down and then started it manually when it gets to 10 seconds Then today, automatic windows update, no warning just restarts. Thank God you'd all started. I don't understand why my shirt is not orange in this month's league rides , it is when I rejoined by searching for @BILL S.
Anybody else want to be starter?
@perswe if you want to redo and can't make Saturday it I'll ride it again with you, I need to do some more climbing.

I'm happy enough to start the races whenever required. I know @Brusgaard often starts them on Saturday, but won't be this Saturday. Last time I started a group race it seemed to go smoothly without any issues with the countdown, and no need to start manually.
I'll start it tomorrow at 5pm if that suits everyone. I'll try to add as many ghosts from Thursday as possible but they seem harder to find than ever these days.

Thx. I have to admit I've got a little jumpy about the starts after a couple of disasters and hate the idea of it being screwed up for you guys, even if it's not directly my fault. I may see you tomorrow depending on how our tandem ride goes.

Excellent! Hope to see you tomorrow Keith. Actually I think the start went fine yesterday for everyone apart from maybe yourself. I just set out when I saw the ghosts move off and as it was a long tough climb I was in no hurry to set off quick.

Hello everyone.
Stage 1 of the "Chain gang march" tour I cycled it on March 8.2020, but I can't see myself in the ranking. Or rather, I see myself in the ranking of Bkool, but not in that of the "Chain gang march". Not a problem, but do you know if I did something wrong?
Thank you.

Hi Inesfra. What is your bkool name? Its ideal if your cyclechat name and bkool name are the same so people here can figure out any problems for you.

You HAVE to start it from the "Leagues" section in the simulator. If you start anywhere else, or join an ongoing race (unless someone else started it from the League section in the same league), it will NOT count in the league.
This is what went wrong in this case. If there is no cup icon beside it in the "My Activity" list, it was not done as a League ride.

By the way, what happened to your trainer on the last way up Tourmalet? You/it was suddenly putting out 2.000-3.000 watts!!!

(Oh, in Italia mangi bene ...)
Ora è un rullo da cambiare. Wahoo Service mi ha detto che non lo ripareranno. Devo comprarne un altro anche perché non c'è nessuno che sappia ripararlo ....

I understand, then I cycled a stage (almost) to no avail ...
Well, at least I trained.

Yes, it's true! I have a first generation Wahoo Kickr ('16) and it's been giving me trouble for a while. It had gone well until the end of the Tourmalet climb, then, towards the end, he went crazy! It marked 13-14% climb percentage, and it seemed you were going downhill! Bhoooo
Perhaps the prolonged effort of the Tourmalet .... I don't know if it can also be the fault of my weight .... over 95 kg .... (Oh, in Italy you eat well ...)
It is now a roller to change. Wahoo Service told me they won't fix it. I have to buy another also because there is no one who knows how to fix it ....

OK, I must admit that I was surprised that you could do 3.1 wkg average on that climb on a KICKR, given your weight. But those 2000-3000w and 50+ kph explains that. My NEO2 doesn't do 50 kph on a 10%+ climb, I can tell you. And my weight is 87 kg. In a Zwift race, you would be disqualified.

I suppose you have the latest firmware installed and do the proper spin down calibration once in a while?

Yes, it may be time for a new trainer, either a NEO2(T) or a KICKR (Core). Or you could support the Italian company and buy an Elite Direto X or Drivo II.

3.1 wkg on average I do them downhill, maybe ....
At my time on the Tourmalet you have to at least add 2-3 minutes, unfortunately ...
My reel hasn't had updates for two years now.
I always do the calibration before every single workout. And after pedaling at least 10 minutes. By now I do it as heating. I have already seen a refurbished Kikcr '18 for 750 euros, directly from the Wahoo website.
Too bad, because my roller if it wasn't that every now and then it goes crazy, it's still fine.
Thanks for the advices!

😄

Although I must admit my position wasn't out of choice, I just couldn't turn the pedals at those RPM. I might fire up the old wheel-on Tacx for the re-run. I was 1.5km plus off the back of the group.

I saw you closing down @Brusgaard so I could see most people, although I too didn't get a countdown. Defo a bug.

I'm really gonna try to be there. I'm happily ensconced in the cycling heaven that is the south of France, hoping that Catalunya does indeed close its borders over the weekend and we are stuck here for two weeks with nothing to do but.... Cycle!
