Hello guys.

I am a bit of a newbie to both the cycling and, particularly, the BKOOL world! I am a new dad, which has meant the end of my football "career" (it wasn't much of a career - five a side with a load of hungover, overweight blokes in non-matching kits...); less cycling outdoors; and seemingly more cycling after the little one is in bed! So I bought a BKOOL Pro 2, stuck it in my cellar and set it up with an Ipad. It seems perfectly fine, but I seem to be totally missing the "social" side of things...

So, sorry for being totally lazy here: but I have tried to join your group / league on BKOOL and it sort of redirects to here. I came onto this thread to try to find a sticky about how you join in on your routes / rides... can you guys help?

:welcome:

In addition I recommend some 3x5 note cards with excuses. But shuffle them. I found myself using "chain off" two weeks in a row. I have also used the new shoe laces. You could probably use the "didn't want to wake the baby so pedaled softly".
But you get the idea. Welcome and see if you can beat 36 minutes on this weeks race.

Sat with @Randyberlin @Goldwolfie on a nice long descent, got chatting and then there was a Cafe at the bottom and well it seemed wrong not to have some cake.

Bill I had the same issue on my first rgt ride. I think it was because I selected the 'power' output rather than the 'smart' output that my turbo presented to rgt
Thanks kipster. I'll have to try again and select the smart output. It'll be far more interesting that way.

Thank you Randy, ShimCeltic et al. Thank you, also, to whoever added me to the BKOOL Group. It is all becoming clearer, slowly but surely.

I have my excuse cards at the ready (I genuinely have no fan, and a wonky floor in the cellar, and my wife won't let me put my bike in the spare room instead, and I have a non-sleeping baby, so I am well-stocked on the excuse front).

I might struggle for 6pm, but it looks like I can still do the same route at a different time and my time will be "counted" in the league (albeit I will miss out on the joy of e-team riding)?

Seriously, you'll need a fan. If you can't make the Thursday ride there is a rerun on Saturday of the same race. I bet you'll find like everyone that in a live race your heart rate and watts are much higher. It is a lot of fun.

Thanks! Saturday at 5pm sounds perfect. And I better see if i can search out a fan from somewhere...

@Goldwolfie

You’ve just got to know when to take a screenshot...Only 2 minutes behind you at the end.

Hi guys,

Do you know if it is possible to see when pro riders are riding on the Bkool events like the Overachieve series. I don't see it on the events page (calendar) . Also, are you guys participating in any of these:

Wow...an impressive arsenal of excuses right off the bat, and before you’ve even done a league run. Best excuse you came up with, had to be, “can’t make it at 6pm” that’s a beaut.
You’re gonna fit right in, and if you’ve any original, non copyrighted excuses you’re happy to share, please DM them to me. Welcome anyway mate, I’ve been away for a few years and am on the first rung of a truly awe inspiring comeback...

Warmup starts in 50 minutes. Search for “brus”.

i expect to redo the Cadex livesession at 7/8 PM (race start 10 minutes later). Did it solo a earlier in the week in 13 minutes, but if we work together as a group, I expect 12 minutes is doable.
Might redo that myself depending on how I'm feeling. Don't wait for me if I havn't found your wheel though as I can't usually keep up with you on that kind of profile.
