F U Randy I was trying to psych out add by pretending I'd only been here 4 weeks

Hi, just stumbled across this forum whilst looking for help on my BKool turbo.

I have a Classic, which I bought years ago when it first came out. Its been well used, mostly during the winters.

Yesterday it made a strange noise and the resistance seemed to be jammed on full.

I stripped it down today and the problem seems to be that the leadscrew that drives the magnets back and forwards in front of the flywheel to change the resistance has stripped and so only works at either end. The centre section of the bolt has completely stripped.

Does anyone know a fix to this that doesn't involve buying a new turbo ? I know some people have changed the stepper motor, but I'm not sure of the leadscrew.

Thanks.

You can replace the threaded shaft as it's just held on by a grub screw.
I am down to my last spare so I cannot help you there. You could search the interweb for one, you could be lucky.
